Hawks' Henri Veesaar: Does well against Spurs
Veesaar recorded 14 points (5-8 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), six rebounds, one assist and one block in 19 minutes during Thursday's 93-66 Summer League win over San Antonio.
The rookie center provided an offensive spark off the bench, flashing his floor-spacing ability and interior efficiency while continuing to strengthen his case for a larger Summer League role. As for the upcoming regular season, Onyeka Okongwu, Jock Landale (ankle), Mouhamed Gueye and Zuby Ejiofor are projected to be ahead of him on the depth chart.

Hawks' Henri Veesaar: Solid all-around effort in SL win
Veesaar supplied 11 points (4-9 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block across 24 minutes in Tuesday's 96-82 Salt Lake City Summer League win over the Grizzlies.
Veesaar did a little bit of everything in the second leg of this back-to-back set, scoring in double figures for the first time this summer. The big man out of North Carolina was one of six Hawks players to post double-digit points, and he also chipped in on the defensive end with a steal and a block. He figures to provide center depth in his rookie campaign, as he's buried behind Onyeka Okongwu, Jock Landale (ankle), Mouhamed Gueye and fellow rookie Zuby Ejiofor (rest).

Hawks' Henri Veesaar: Headed to Atlanta
The Clippers selected Veesaar with the No. 52 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft and traded him to the Hawks, per Shams Charania of ESPN.
The Clippers will get the No. 57 pick and cash in return. Veesaar is a skilled offensive player who spent three years as a reserve with Arizona, redshirting his entire sophomore year with an elbow injury before transferring to North Carolina and breaking out, averaging 17.0 points, 8.7 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.2 blocks per game while shooting 60.8 percent from the field and 42.6 percent from deep. The Hawks also drafted Zuby Ejiofor in the first round, bolstering their center group behind Onyeka Okongwu, who's thrived after taking over as a starter.
