  • Celtics' Derrick White: Cleared to play Saturday

White (neck) is good to go for Saturday's game against the Rockets, Taylor Snow of the Celtics' official site reports. White will shake off his probable tag for this contest, and there's no word of any restrictions. Through six games, White is averaging 16.7 points, 4.3 assists, 3.8 rebounds, 1.2 blocks, 1,5 steals and 2.7 three-pointers.

  • Celtics' Derrick White: Probable for Saturday

White is probable for Saturday's game against the Rockets due to bilateral neck stiffness, Justin Turpin of WEEI.com reports. White continues to struggle with his shot, but he was productive during Friday's 109-108 win over the 76ers, posting 15 points (6-16 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds, four assists, two steals, one block and two turnovers in 35 minutes. Payton Pritchard (ankle) is also probable for the second half of Boston's back-to-back set, but the Celtics should be at full strength, save for Jayson Tatum (knee).

  • Celtics' Derrick White: Posts well-rounded line in win

White registered 15 points (6-16 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds, four assists, two steals, one block and two turnovers in 35 minutes during Friday's 109-108 win over the 76ers. While the counting stats for White this season have been solid, he has been struggling from an efficiency standpoint, converting just 32.1 percent of his shot attempts. However, as a career 44.6 percent shooter, it should only be a matter of time until his shot starts falling, and once that happens, he'll shoot up the rankings.

  • Celtics' Derrick White: Big defensive effort Sunday

White closed with 15 points (6-18 FG, 3-11 3Pt), four rebounds, three assists, three blocks and four steals across 37 minutes during Sunday's 119-113 loss to the Pistons. The 31-year-old point guard made an impact on the defensive end, with the four steals being his best showing since May 27, 2024, when he racked up five against the Pacers. White will be one of the engines of the Celtics this season alongside Jaylen Brown, and the former has looked good in that role through three games, averaging 18.3 points, 3.7 boards, 3.7 assists, 3.3 threes, 2.0 steals and 1.7 blocks.

  • Celtics' Derrick White: Cleared for Sunday

White (wrist) is available for Sunday's game against the Pistons, Jay King of The Athletic reports. White had been listed as probable heading into Sunday, so his availability doesn't come as a surprise, though it's still a positive confirmation that the wrist sprain isn't limiting him. The guard figures to be a central piece of the Celtics' offense, especially if Jaylen Brown (hamstring) is unable to suit up.

  • Celtics' Derrick White: Drops 15 in loss

White ended Friday's 105-95 loss to the Knicks with 15 points (5-18 FG, 3-11 3Pt, 2-3 FT), four rebounds, four assists, a steal and a block over 33 minutes. While White has not been able to shoot efficiently (31.6 percent from the field and 29.2 percent from three), he has turned in consecutive performances with at least three threes made, three rebounds, four assists, a steal and a block. White's volume and role as Boston's main facilitator is keeping his fantasy relevance afloat, but if he wants to project himself into the upper echelon of contributors that fantasy managers believed he could be coming into the season, his efficiency has to improve.

  • Celtics' Derrick White: Drops 25 in season opener

White put up 25 points (7-20 FG, 4-13 3 Pt, 7-7 FT), four assists, three rebounds, a steal and a block across 35 minutes in Wednesday's 117-116 loss to the 76ers. Wednesday was White's first taste of an expanded offensive role following the departures of Kristaps Porzingis and Al Horford in the offseason and losing Jayson Tatum to an Achilles injury for virtually the entire regular season. Although the Celtics were unable to get the victory, White tied with Jaylen Brown in leading the team in points and assists. Fantasy managers should be able to expect this kind of heavy workload from White moving forward.

  • Celtics' Derrick White: Drops 33 points vs Raptors

White generated 33 points (10-23 FG, 6-17 3Pt, 7-9 FT), nine rebounds, six assists and four blocks across 35 minutes of Wednesday's 110-108 preseason win over the Raptors. White stuffed the stat sheet Wednesday, and he attempted 10 more shots than any other Celtic in the win. While Jaylen Brown (hamstring) played just seven minutes and Sam Hauser rested, White's offensive workload is an encouraging sign for what's ahead with Jayson Tatum (Achilles) sidelined.

  • Celtics' Derrick White: Starting Sunday

White (rest) is part of the first unit for Sunday's preseason game against the Cavaliers. White got the night off Friday against Toronto, but the standout 31-year-old will suit up and claim his usual starting role. White slots in at the shooting guard spot alongside Payton Pritchard.

  • Celtics' Derrick White: Double-doubles in preseason win

White logged 16 points (7-16 FG, 2-9 3Pt), 10 assists, three rebounds, one steal and two blocks in 27 minutes of Thursday's 121-103 preseason win over Memphis. White comfortably led the team in shot attempts Wednesday and handled the bulk of the playmaking reps as well. With the Celtics overhauling their roster over the summer, combined with Jayson Tatum's Achilles injury, White is set up to soak up a ton of usage this season in what could be a career-best campaign.

  • Celtics' Derrick White: Quiet in Game 6 loss

White accumulated eight points (3-11 FG, 2-8 3Pt), one rebound, two assists and one steal over 30 minutes during Friday's 119-81 loss to New York in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. White saved his worst for last, joining his teammates by putting up arguably the Celtics' most disappointing performance of the season. Despite the rough ending, it was another strong season for White, who demonstrated his elite two-way skills while averaging 16.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 0.9 steals, 1.1 blocks and 3.5 three-pointers. With Jayson Tatum set to miss a sizeable chunk of the 2025-26 season due to an Achilles injury, White's importance to this team can't be overstated.

  • Celtics' Derrick White: Shines in win over New York

White ended Wednesday's 127-102 victory over the Knicks in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals with 34 points (9-16 FG, 7-13 3Pt, 9-11 FT), three rebounds, two assists and three blocks in 40 minutes. This was the first game without Jayson Tatum (Achilles) for the Celtics, and even though Jaylen Brown was widely expected to step up, it was White who ended up leading the team in scoring. His growth during the current postseason run has been impressive to watch, and it wouldn't be surprising if he continues to have a steady role as a premier scoring option for Boston solely based on the defensive matchups. White is averaging 22.6 points per game in the current series against New York while shooting 45.2 percent from the floor and 42.1 percent from beyond the arc.

  • Celtics' Derrick White: Puts up 23 points in loss

White supplied 23 points (6-12 FG, 6-11 3Pt, 5-7 FT), three rebounds and two assists in 44 minutes during Monday's 121-113 loss to New York in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. White was one of the top players for the Celtics in this matchup, and the guard continued an impressive stretch since he's surpassed the 15-point mark in each of his four outings of the series thus far. If Jayson Tatum (lower leg) ends up missing time due to the injury he sustained in Game 4, White could be in line to have an even bigger role on offense.

  • Celtics' Derrick White: Scores 17 in Game 3 win

White accumulated 17 points (6-10 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal across 34 minutes during Saturday's 115-93 win over the Knicks in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Jayson Tatum and Payton Pritchard led the way for the Celtics in this huge road win at Madison Square Garden, but White posted a solid stat line as well. The veteran guard continues to make an impact on both ends of the court and is averaging 18.7 points, 8.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.7 blocks per game in the series ahead of Game 4 on Monday.

  • Celtics' Derrick White: Drops 20 points in Game 2

White closed Wednesday's 91-90 loss to the Knicks in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals with 20 points (6-17 FG, 3-11 3Pt, 5-5 FT), nine rebounds, five assists and two blocks across 40 minutes. After logging a 19-point, 11-rebound double-double in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals, White fell one board short of another double-double Wednesday. White averaged 12.6 field goal attempts per game during the regular season, but he's now taken at least 17 shots in back-to-back games. White tied for the team high in points and didn't commit a turnover.

  • Celtics' Derrick White: Double-doubles in loss

White ended with 19 points (6-18 FG, 5-16 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 11 rebounds, two assists and two blocks across 44 minutes during Monday's 108-105 overtime loss to the Knicks in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. White recorded a double-double for the first time during these NBA playoffs, making his presence felt in the scoring column as well as on the glass. The defensive-minded guard has been a solid contributor for the defending NBA champions during the postseason, averaging 17.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 1.0 blocks per game, shooting 46.9 percent from the floor and 34.5 percent from beyond the arc.

  • Celtics' Derrick White: Regresses in victory

White closed Tuesday's 120-89 win over the Magic in Game 5 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs with five points (2-6 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds, five assists and one steal across 31 minutes. White was enjoying a prolific series, but the offense didn't flow his way in Game 5. The guard was limited to just six shot attempts, marking his second-lowest total of the season. He continued to post decent secondary numbers. White has scored in the single digits only 10 times this season, so the downturn should be considered an outlier compared to his usual production.

  • Celtics' Derrick White: Fills up stat sheet in win

White closed Sunday's 107-98 victory over the Magic in Game 4 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs with 18 points (7-11 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-3 FT), seven rebounds, seven assists and one block over 39 minutes. White continues to prove why he's one of the most versatile guards in the NBA today, as he helped Boston take a commanding 3-1 series lead Sunday with an impressive all-around performance. The 30-year-old veteran dished out a game-high seven assists while helping shoulder the backcourt load in Jrue Holiday's (hamstring) absence for a second straight game.

  • Celtics' Derrick White: Scores 17 points in Game 2 win

White posted 17 points (6-14 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, five assists and one steal over 38 minutes during Wednesday's 109-100 victory over the Magic in Game 2 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. White, who stepped up in the absence of Jayson Tatum (wrist), started slow in this game before knocking down a pair of clutch three-pointers in the fourth quarter to keep Orlando at bay. White has been terrific in the postseason with 23.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.0 steals, 1.0 blocks and 5.0 three-pointers.

  • Celtics' Derrick White: Drops 30 points in Game 1 win

White logged 30 points (10-18 FG, 7-12 3Pt, 3-3 FT), four rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal over 36 minutes during Sunday's 103-86 victory over Orlando in Game 1 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. White was fantastic in the Game 1 victory while recording a team-high scoring figure. Both Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown were far from their best, while Kristaps Porzingis also struggled on the offensive end. White took it upon himself to shoulder the bulk of the scoring load, an indication of how much he has improved in that capacity over the past couple of years. The Celtics will look to take a 2-0 series lead when the two teams meet again in Boston on Wednesday.
