Warriors' Jonathan Kuminga: Posts 24-8-4 line in loss
Kuminga produced 24 points (7-11 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 8-8 FT), eight rebounds, four assists, one block and five turnovers in 34 minutes during Thursday's 120-110 loss to the Bucks.
This was a nice bounce-back performance from Kuminga, who was held to just nine points on 4-11 shooting his last time out. Aside from Tuesday's lackluster performance, Kuminga has looked good this season, posting averages of 17.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.5 triples per contest on 55/45/83 shooting splits. That has him operating with mid-round value on the year, so he should be rostered in all leagues.

Warriors' Jonathan Kuminga: Double-double continues hot start
Kuminga closed with 25 points (9-14 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 7-8 FT), 10 rebounds, four assists and one block across 32 minutes in Monday's 131-118 win over the Grizzlies.
Kuminga notched his first double-double of the season Monday, leading the Warriors in scoring while Stephen Curry finished with a modest 16 points. The talented forward has been playing inspired basketball to open the year, averaging 18.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists through four games. If the 2021 first-round pick keeps producing at this pace, Kuminga could cement himself as a key piece for a Warriors squad with aspirations of competing at the top of the Western Conference.

Warriors' Jonathan Kuminga: Solid production in Portland
Kuminga provided 16 points (4-7 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 7-7 FT), eight rebounds, three assists and two steals across 24 minutes during Friday's 139-119 loss to the Trail Blazers.
After finally working out a contract extension with the Warriors just prior to the start of the season, Kuminga has handled a big role. Friday's minutes were a product of the blowout nature of the contest, but the fifth-year forward still delivered strong numbers, scoring at least 14 points for the third straight game. Kuminga's averaging 15.7 points, 7.3 boards, 4.0 assists, 2.0 threes and 1.0 steal in 31.0 minutes so far while shooting 55.2 percent from the floor, but that production has come while Al Horford is being eased into the lineup with Golden State, coming off the bench in his first two appearances and then sitting out Friday on the second night of a back-to-back.

Warriors' Jonathan Kuminga: Likely to play Friday
Kuminga (ankle) is listed as probable to play in Friday's game against the Trail Blazers.
Kuminga is dealing with inflammation in his right ankle. However, it doesn't appear to be severe enough to keep him off the floor for the second game of a back-to-back set. Kuminga dropped 14 points in Thursday's overtime win against the Nuggets.

Warriors' Jonathan Kuminga: Drops 14 points in starting role
Kuminga provided 14 points (6-11 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-3 FT), five rebounds and three assists across 36 minutes during Thursday's 137-131 overtime win over the Nuggets.
Kuminga's role in the starting lineup will be key to Golden State's success this season, but the fifth-year pro needs to demonstrate more consistency and realize his upside potential. The Warriors finally got him under contract in camp, and this season could be his last opportunity if he doesn't step up. His near double-double in the first game of the season was a positive step, but he needs to maintain solid point and rebound results to maximize his fantasy worthiness.

Warriors' Jonathan Kuminga: Flirts with double-double
Kuminga finished with 17 points (6-11 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), nine rebounds, six assists and one steal across 33 minutes during Tuesday's 119-109 victory over the Lakers.
Kuminga played through a recent ankle injury, falling one rebound short of a double-double. It was an encouraging performance given the offseason drama, with the fact that he played 33 minutes perhaps the biggest positive. Depending on the matchup, we could see head coach Steve Kerr shuffle the starting rotation from one game to the next, meaning Kuminga's role could be somewhat fluid.

Warriors' Jonathan Kuminga: Tracking to play Tuesday
Kuminga (ankle) is expected to be available for Tuesday's game against the Lakers, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports. Kuminga is officially listed as probable.
Kuminga rolled his ankle during Tuesday's preseason contest and sat out the Warriors' final exhibition Friday, but head coach Steve Kerr indicated that the 23-year-old should be ready for the regular-season opener. The 2021 first-round pick averaged 15.3 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 24.3 minutes over 47 regular-season appearances (10 starts) last season and will look to build on that with a strong 2025-26 campaign after a drawn-out contract saga this offseason.

Warriors' Jonathan Kuminga: Scores 13 points in start
Kuminga finished with 13 points (5-8 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six assists and one steal in 22 minutes during Sunday's preseason loss to the Lakers.
Kuminga moved into the starting lineup after Stephen Curry (undisclosed), Moses Moody (calf), Jimmy Butler (personal) and Al Horford (rest) were all given the night off. Following an offseason filled with uncertainty, Kuminga will now shift his focus to playing basketball. With that said, his long-term future is still a topic for discussion, with his role this season likely to play a part in where he eventually ends up.
