Kings' Malik Monk: To be re-evaluated in two weeks
Monk will be re-evaluated for a strained left calf injury in two weeks, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Monk will miss at least the next two weeks for the Kings before having his injured left calf re-evaluated. The absence of the veteran guard is a costly blow for this team, which has clinched a spot in the Play-In Tournament. Sacramento will have to lean on Keon Ellis, Devin Carter and Markelle Fultz in the backcourt.

Kings' Malik Monk: Listed as out for Wednesday
Monk is out for Wednesday's game against the Nuggets with left calf soreness.
Monk will need to miss at least one game after leaving Monday's game against the Pistons with the issue, and his next chance to play comes Friday against the Clippers. Keon Ellis should handle an expanded role Wednesday, having averaged 8.3 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 2.3 steals in 30.9 minutes over his last 10 contests.

Kings' Malik Monk: Suffers calf injury
Monk won't return to Monday's game against the Pistons after suffering a left calf injury, Brenden Nunes of KHTK Sactown Sports 1140 reports. He totaled two points (1-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and one assist in six minutes prior to exiting.
Monk appeared to suffer the calf injury at some point during the first quarter and was quickly ruled out by the medical staff. The extent of the injury is unknown at this time. Markelle Fultz and Devin Carter should pick up more minutes in the backcourt the rest of the way Monday in Monk's absence.

Kings' Malik Monk: Puts up 17 points off bench
Monk notched 17 points (7-12 FG, 3-6 3Pt), one rebound and three assists over 23 minutes during Friday's 125-102 win over the Hornets.
Monk has been struggling with his shot of late, and the Kings need him to be at his best, given that he's a key piece on offense with his scoring prowess off the bench. This was a step in the right direction, and it turned out to be Monk's best scoring performance since March 20, just before he missed three contests due to an illness. Since returning to the court on March 27, Monk has averaged 12.0 points per game, shooting 40.4 percent from the floor and 34.6 percent from three-point range over his last five contests.

Kings' Malik Monk: Abysmal shooting performance
Monk totaled five points (2-14 FG, 1-3 3Pt), seven rebounds and seven assists in 29 minutes in Monday's 111-109 loss to the Pacers.
Monk struggled mightily from the field Monday, shooting just 14.2 percent on 14 shots. He made an impact on the glass and tallied seven assists, but his shooting woes and five turnovers were major factors in the Kings' narrow defeat. The 27-year-old has slid to the bench in the team's past three outings since returning from his three-game absence due to illness, averaging 10.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 3.7 assists on 37.5 percent shooting.

Kings' Malik Monk: Muted impact off bench
Monk accumulated nine points (4-9 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 0-2 FT), two rebounds and two assists across 23 minutes during Saturday's 121-91 loss to the Magic.
Monk came off the bench in his second straight game since returning from an illness, and his production has taken a hit during this time. It's unclear if the Kings plan on moving the veteran guard back into the starting lineup once he's fully back up to speed, with Monk logging just 17 and 23 minutes in his past two outings, respectively. Fantasy managers should stay patient with Monk, who's still averaging a solid 18.4 points, 5.0 assists, 3.4 rebounds, 0.7 steals and 2.3 three-pointers in 31.1 minutes through 10 games this month.

Kings' Malik Monk: Sees 17 minutes in return
Monk racked up 16 points (6-9 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds and two assists across 17 minutes during Thursday's 128-107 victory over the Trail Blazers.
Monk, who returned from a three-game absence due to an illness, was deployed off the bench and saw limited run Thursday. He looked sharp, obviously, and could potentially see his usual workload Saturday against the Magic with the illness seemingly behind him.

Kings' Malik Monk: To be deployed off bench
Monk isn't in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against Portland, Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee reports.
Monk was originally listed in the starting five leading up to Thursday's clash, but the team announced right before tipoff that Keon Ellis would draw the start at point guard. This could be an effort to ease Monk back into play after missing the last three games with an illness, though Sacramento hasn't commented on whether the 27-year-old will be on a minute restriction.
