  • Trail Blazers' Micah Potter: Claimed by Trail Blazers

Potter was claimed off waivers by Portland on Friday. Potter bounced around the league before spending most of the 2025-26 campaign in Indiana. In 47 regular-season appearances with the Pacers, he averaged 9.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.3 blocks and 0.5 steals across 19.3 minutes. It's unknown what kind of role Potter will have in Portland, though it's reasonable to assume the Trail Blazers acquired him for depth purposes.

  • Micah Potter: To be waived by Pacers

Potter will be waived by the Pacers, per Alex Golden of SI.com. The expectation originally was that the Pacers would pick up Potter's team option, but the team has had second thoughts after signing Larry Nance earlier Wednesday. Potter's absence from Indiana's frontcourt will leave Jay Huff and Nance to battle for the backup center role behind Ivica Zubac in 2026-27.

  • Pacers' Micah Potter: Returning to Pacers

The Pacers will exercise the team option on Potter's contract for the 2026-27 season, per Tony East of Forbes.com. The move sets Potter up for his second season with the Pacers. The Wisconsin product enjoyed a career campaign in 2025-26, averaging 9.7 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 19.3 minutes per game over 47 appearances, and he appears to be the early favorite for the backup center role behind Ivica Zubac next year.

After a slow start to the season, Potter was able to carve out a regular spot in the rotation, averaging 11.7 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.8 three-pointers in 20.0 minutes per contest over his final 25 games of the season.

Potter will come off the bench for Tuesday's game against the Timberwolves, Dustin Dopirak of The Indianapolis Star reports. Potter received a matchup-based start in Sunday's loss to the Cavs, but he'll head back to the second unit for Tuesday's game. As a reserve, Potter owns averages of 8.8 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.4 triples per contest.

Potter finished Sunday's 135-118 win over the Heat with 21 points (7-9 FG, 5-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and five rebounds over 20 minutes. Potter was an obvious standout for the Pacers off the bench, and he continues to trend in the right direction. • Pacers' Micah Potter: Plays 20 minutes in return

Potter (triceps) registered nine points (3-5 FG, 1-2 3PT, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block over 20 minutes during the Pacers' 134-119 loss to the Spurs on Saturday. Potter was given the green light to return from a two-game absence due to a triceps injury. He saw 20 minutes of playing time for the first time since March 4, and he should operate in an expanded role off the bench for the rest of the season in the absence of Ivica Zubac (rib).

  • Pacers' Micah Potter: Cleared to play

Potter (triceps) is good to go for Saturday's game against the Spurs. Potter will shed his questionable tag and will be available for this contest. Over his last five games, he's averaging just 11.2 minutes per contest.

  • Pacers' Micah Potter: Downgraded to out

Potter (triceps) is out for Tuesday's game against the Knicks. Potter is out for the first time since the Feb. 3 loss to the Jazz due to a triceps injury. His absence Tuesday should free up a couple of extra minutes for Kobe Brown to pick up in the frontcourt.

  • Pacers' Micah Potter: Injures elbow late Sunday

Potter sustained a right elbow injury during the Pacers' 134-123 loss to the Bucks on Sunday. He finished with three points (1-1 FG, 1-1 3Pt), one rebound, one assist and one steal over five minutes. It's unclear when Potter sustained the injury, but the Pacers should provide an update on the severity of his injury once he undergoes additional tests. The elbow injury puts Potter in jeopardy of missing Tuesday's game against the Knicks, though he's now played five minutes or less in back-to-back games, so his absence wouldn't impact the Pacers' rotation all that much.

  • Pacers' Micah Potter: Efficient 18 points off bench

Potter recorded 18 points (6-9 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), nine rebounds and one block in 25 minutes during Sunday's 125-106 loss to the Grizzlies. The last-place Pacers are essentially missing their entire starting five, which bodes well for Potter's chances of holding onto a significant role in the frontcourt. The 27-year-old is drawing some attention as a streaming option in most fantasy settings, averaging 15.4 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 0.9 steals and 2.4 three-pointers in 25.6 minutes per game over his last eight contests.

Potter picked up right where he left off after dropping a career-best 23 points Tuesday against Philly. He caught fire from downtown, where he tacked on 15 of his 19 points on the night. Potter also led Indiana with a pair of swipes. The Wisconsin product has logged 20-plus minutes in eight straight games and has a chance to remain relevant in the rotation even after Pascal Siakam (wrist) is cleared to return.

Potter was red-hot to start the game, ending with a career-high 23 points. He also chipped in across all major categories, making this his best overall performance of the season. Despite continuing to come off the bench behind Jay Huff, Potter has been relatively productive in recent times. In five games over the past two weeks, he has averaged 15.2 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.0 three-pointers and 1.8 combined steals-plus-blocks, which is good enough for top-70 value in nine-category leagues.

  • Pacers' Micah Potter: Iffy for Thursday

Potter is listed as questionable for Thursday's game against Washington due to a sprained left ankle. The Pacers begin a back-to-back set in Washington on Thursday night, and Potter is at risk of missing the front end because of an ankle injury. The fifth-year big man is averaging 8.9 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists across 21.4 minutes in his last eight appearances.

  • Pacers' Micah Potter: Career-high 19 points in win

Potter posted 19 points (6-8 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 6-8 FT), 12 rebounds, two blocks, one assist and one steal across 27 minutes in Wednesday's 115-110 win over the Nets. Potter shifted to a bench role after starting Tuesday's overtime win over New York, though he still saw significant playing time. The big man turned in an extremely efficient performance and finished as Indiana's second-leading scorer while setting a new career-high mark in points. He also grabbed a team- and season-high 12 boards, securing his third double-double on the campaign. Although the Wisconsin product has seen meaningful playing time of late, Ivica Zubac's (ankle) eventual return to action will likely eat into Potter's minutes.

  • Pacers' Micah Potter: Coming off bench Wednesday

Potter isn't part of the first unit for Wednesday's game against Brooklyn, Tony East of Forbes.com reports. Potter replaced Jay Huff in the starting lineup for Tuesday's matchup with the Knicks, but it'll be Huff in the first five for Wednesday's contest. Still, with the Pacers down several rotation players, look for Potter to play plenty of minutes off the bench.
