Clippers' Ben Simmons: Season ends Saturday
Simmons finished the 2024-25 campaign with averages of 5.0 points, 5.6 assists, 4.7 rebounds, 0.7 steals and 0.5 blocks across 22.0 minutes per game in 51 regular-season appearances (24 starts).
Simmons was waived by the Nets in February before joining Los Angeles. The 28-year-old received fairly significant playing time off the bench for the Clippers when healthy, though he didn't make much of an impact in the playoffs. He averaged 0.8 points and 1.4 rebounds across 8.4 minutes per game in five first-round appearances. Simmons is slated to become an unrestricted free agent ahead of the 2025-26 campaign after playing for three teams in the last four years.

Clippers' Ben Simmons: Invisible again in loss
Simmons had two points (1-1 FG) and one block over seven minutes during Saturday's 101-99 loss to the Nuggets in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
Simmons continues to be nothing more than an afterthought for the Clippers, having now accumulated more fouls than points, rebounds or assists. His role at this point is to give Ivica Zubac a break, albeit for only a few minutes. The series is now tied at 2-2, with Game 5 scheduled for Tuesday in Denver.

Clippers' Ben Simmons: Barely noticeable Monday
Simmons notched two points (1-1 FG), one rebound and one assist over eight minutes during Monday's 105-102 win over Denver in Game 2 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
Simmons continues to play a limited role for the Clippers, logging no more than 15 minutes for the seventh straight game. He is playing as the backup center right now, a role that utilizes his defense and little else. While he should remain in the rotation, it is unlikely we see him playing meaningful minutes in what is likely to be a hard-fought series against the Nuggets.

Clippers' Ben Simmons: Sitting vs. Dallas
Simmons won't play in Friday's game against the Mavericks due to left knee injury management, independent NBA writer Justin Russo reports.
Simmons returned from a knee injury March 14 and has played in nine of his team's last 10 matchups, so the Clippers will take this opportunity to sit him down. Drew Eubanks and Derrick Jones are candidates for an uptick in playing time Friday in Simmons' absence.

Clippers' Ben Simmons: Won't play Monday
Simmons (knee) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Magic, Cody Taylor of USA Today reports.

Clippers' Ben Simmons: Plays well in limited minutes
Simmons produced eight points (4-5 FG) and seven rebounds in 15 minutes during Sunday's 103-101 loss to the Thunder.
James Harden suffered quad and ankle injuries late in Sunday's 103-101 loss to the Thunder, making his status worth monitoring ahead of Wednesday's game versus the Knicks. Simmons snapped a streak of three scoreless games in a row Sunday, and he would be a candidate to see more run if Harden is forced to miss time.
