  • Raptors' Brandon Ingram: Getting another game off

Ingram (rest) will not play in Sunday's preseason game against the Wizards, according to Raptors reporter Vivek Jacob. Ingram will receive his second straight maintenance day after missing Friday's exhibition as well. In two preseason appearances, Ingram has averaged 20.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 3.0 three-pointers.

  • Raptors' Brandon Ingram: Won't play vs. Boston

Ingram (rest) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Celtics, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports. Ingram and all of the team's starters will rest Friday. The coaching staff is trying to get a longer look at some of the squad's younger players and players on the roster bubble.

  • Raptors' Brandon Ingram: Strong preseason continues

Ingram supplied 21 points (7-16 FG, 2-2 FT, 5-7 3Pt), six rebounds and three assists across 23 minutes in Wednesday's 130-122 preseason win over the Kings. Ingram is the perfect example of a player who could blow up after a change of scenery, and he's delivered excellent numbers so far in the preseason. Although some questioned the trade considering the depth at the position, fantasy drafters might want to consider moving him up the ladder based on the early results, as it seems there is plenty of room for Ingram to flourish alongside RJ Barrett and Scottie Barnes.

  • Raptors' Brandon Ingram: Flashing old self in preseason

Ingram totaled 19 points (6-12 FG, 6-7 FT, 1-3 3Pt), one rebound and two assists over 22 minutes during Monday's 112-108 preseason loss to the Nuggets. Sporting his trademark headband, Ingram showed no ill effects from the ankle injury that cost him most of his 2024-25 season. Although the team debut was a losing effort, Ingram gave the squad an added spark, and he blended seamlessly alongside Scottie Barnes and RJ Barrett. Ingram is brimming with offensive potential if he stays healthy, and early signs indicate an encouraging synergy with his new teammates.

  • Raptors' Brandon Ingram: Ready for training camp

Raptors general manager Bobby Webster said Friday that Ingram (ankle) will be ready for training camp, Ryan Wolstat of the Toronto Sun reports. Ingram was limited to just 18 games last season due to a sprained left ankle that he suffered in December. He was cleared for contact way back in July, and it sounds like he's been a full go for a while now. For now, there's no word of any restrictions heading into the preseason.

  • Raptors' Brandon Ingram: Cleared for contact

Ingram (ankle) was cleared for contact Thursday, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports. Ingram was limited to just 18 games last season due to a sprained left ankle that he suffered in December, but he appears to be making significant strides in his rehab this offseason. Head coach Darko Rajakovic also noted Thursday that the star forward is "pain-free", which is a very encouraging sign. Ingram has a chance to be a full participant in training camp this fall, and he has plenty of time to be fully recovered from the issue ahead of the 2025-26 campaign as well.

  • Raptors' Brandon Ingram: Ruled out for season

The Raptors officially shut down Ingram for the rest of the season Wednesday after he got a PRP injection in his left ankle, Michael Grange of Sportsnet.ca reports. Ingram was traded to the Raptors in February before the NBA trade deadline. However, he's been dealing with an ankle injury, which cost him all but 18 games this season. He never got a chance to suit up for Toronto during the 2024-25 campaign. The team expects him to be ready for their summer program.

  • Raptors' Brandon Ingram: Hopeful to return to practice

Coach Darko Rajakovic said Friday that he hopes Ingram (ankle) will be cleared for contact and go through a full practice next week, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports. Ingram hasn't played since Dec. 7 due to a left ankle sprain but hasn't been officially shut down for the year. However, with the Raptors sitting in 11th place in the Eastern Conference and having only four games remaining after Friday, it is increasingly unlikely that Ingram will suit up again in 2024-25.

  • Raptors' Brandon Ingram: Set for checkup in 10 days

The Raptors announced Sunday that Ingram (ankle) is progressing and will be re-evaluated in approximately 10 days, Michael Grange of Sportsnet.ca reports. Due to a significant left ankle sprain, Ingram made his final appearance for the Pelicans on Dec. 7 before being traded to the Raptors on Feb. 6. With the Raptors out of the playoff mix, it's unclear if the veteran wing will debut for his new team this season. Toronto inked Ingram to a two-year, $78 million contract extension less than a week after acquiring him, so even if he doesn't suit up over the next three weeks, he'll be in line for a key role for the Raptors next season.

  • Raptors' Brandon Ingram: Set for checkup in two weeks

The Raptors announced Thursday that Ingram (ankle) is progressing as expected, but he remains limited to individual work on the court and will be re-evaluated in two weeks, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports. Lewenberg adds that Ingram remains without a timetable to return to game action or even practice while he continues to recover from a significant left ankle sprain, which has kept him from playing since Dec. 7. Ingram appears unlikely to make it back on the court at any point in March, and with the Raptors out of the mix for a playoff spot, it wouldn't be surprising if he didn't make his team debut until the 2025-26 season.

  • Raptors' Brandon Ingram: Timeline for return still uncertain

Head coach Darko Rajakovic said Feb. 25 that Ingram is still rehabbing his sprained left ankle and remains without a clear timeline to make his Raptors debut, Adam Laskaris of BlogTO.com reports. "We're breaking down his recovery and this plan into two-week chunks, and every two weeks, we're going to give an update how he's doing, how he's progressing," Rajakovic said of Ingram. Ingram sustained the severe ankle sprain Dec. 7, in what marked his final appearance with the Pelicans before he was traded to the Raptors on Feb. 6. Though Toronto inked Ingram to a two-year, $78 million contract extension less than a week after acquiring him, it's not clear if the 27-year-old wing is in line to make his team debut at any point this season. With a 19-42 record, the Raptors sit five games behind the Bulls for the final spot in the Eastern Conference Play-In Tournament, so the organization is presumably inclined to proceed cautiously with Ingram until he's 100 percent recovered from the ankle sprain. Fantasy managers in redraft leagues with minimal injured reserve slots who are still holding Ingram may be better served using that roster spot on a healthy option while he remains without a definitive target date to resume playing.

  • Raptors' Brandon Ingram: Unlikely to play in February

Ingram (ankle) remains without a precise target date for making his Raptors debut, but the veteran forward isn't projected to play for at least a month, Michael Grange of Sportsnet.com reports. Before the Pelicans traded Ingram to the Raptors last week, reports on his progress had been few and far between since he suffered a high-grade left low ankle sprain in a Dec. 7 loss to the Thunder. The Raptors haven't provided concrete updates on Ingram's status in the week since they acquired him. Still, the team's decision to sign him to a three-year, $120 million contract extension would seem to suggest that the organization's isn't too concerned about his long-term outlook. With the Raptors sitting at 17-38 heading into the All-Star break, the team won't rush Ingram back into action until they're fully confident in his health. A firmer target date for his return should emerge once he's cleared to participate in practices, but for now, fantasy managers should expect his absence to extend into March.

  • Raptors' Brandon Ingram: Remains out

Ingram (ankle) is out for Wednesday's game against the Cavaliers, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports. Ingram hasn't suited up since Dec. 7 and will remain out through the All-Star break. It's unclear when he'll be cleared to make his Raptors debut, but Toronto has already inked the veteran forward to a three-year extension, locking in the core of Ingram, Immanuel Quickley, RJ Barrett, Scottie Barnes and Jakob Poeltl through the 2026-27 campaign.

  • Raptors' Brandon Ingram: Agrees to 3-year, $120 million deal

Ingram (ankle) and the Raptors agreed to a three-year, $120 million extension, ESPN's Shams Charania reports. This is a considerable vote of confidence from Toronto and will prevent Ingram from hitting free agency during the offseason. The third year of the deal includes a player option, and it appears that the Raptors will structure their rebuild around Ingram and Scottie Barnes. Ingram is currently sidelined by an ankle sprain and doesn't have a clear timetable for a return.

The Pelicans traded Ingram (ankle) to the Raptors on Wednesday for Bruce Brown, Kelly Olynyk, a first-round pick and a second-round pick, Shams Charania of ESPN reports. Ingram hasn't appeared in a game since Dec. 7 due to a sprained left ankle. While it's unclear when he'll be able to retake the floor, he'll get a fresh start with the Raptors. Once healthy, expect Ingram to slot into the starting lineup between RJ Barrett and Scottie Barnes. Before the injury, Ingram was averaging 22.2 points, 5.6 rebounds and 5.2 assists across 33.1 minutes per game.
