Vincent (ankle) finished with six points (2-3 FG, 2-3 3Pt) and one assist in 16 minutes Tuesday in the Lakers' 140-126 win over the Jazz.
While LeBron James' (sciatica) season debut captured most of the headlines, Vincent's return from an extended absence of his own helped bring the Los Angeles rotation back to full strength for the first time in 2025-26. Vincent had started in the Lakers' first three games before going down with a slight ligament tear and sprain of his left ankle, but James' return relegated the veteran guard to the bench. Vincent knocked down a couple of outside shots and was a plus-15 during his time on the court, but he's unlikely to be in line for much more than the 16 minutes he received Tuesday while the Lakers have all of their key guards and wings available.

Vincent (ankle) is available for Tuesday's game against the Jazz, Daniel Starkand of LakersNation.com reports.
Tuesday is set to be Vincent's first appearance since Oct. 26 in Sacramento. The veteran guard is in line to play a reserve role in the Lakers' backcourt, likely leaving him with minimal fantasy appeal. Lakers' Gabe Vincent: Iffy for Tuesday
Rotowire
Vincent (ankle) is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Jazz, Thuc Nhi Nguyen of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Vincent hasn't played since Oct. 26 due to a left ankle sprain, though he appears to be nearing a return to game action. While the 29-year-old guard will likely face restrictions whenever he is cleared to play, his return could mean fewer minutes for Bronny James and Dalton Knecht.

Lakers' Gabe Vincent: Still not cleared for contact
Rotowire
Vincent (ankle) has been ramping up his on-court work, but he still hasn't been cleared for one-on-one work or contact drills, Law Murray of The Athletic reports.
Vincent is traveling with the Lakers on their current five-game road trip, which shows progress, but until he's going through full-contact, 5-on-5 work, we can assume he's still not close to returning. While head coach JJ Redick said he hoped to have Vincent back closer to the three-week mark of his initial 2-4 week timetable, which would hint at a potential Nov. 18 return date, that seems unlikely given there won't be much practice time while the team is traveling for the next week.

Lakers' Gabe Vincent: Set to miss multiple weeks
Rotowire
Vincent (ankle) is expected to miss two to four weeks, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Vincent suffered a left ankle sprain Sunday against the Kings and is expected to miss multiple weeks while recovering. With both him and Luka Doncic (finger) sidelined for multiple games and Marcus Smart (quadriceps) also banged up, the depleted Lakers backcourt could give playing time to Bronny James, along with increased wing minutes for Jake LaRavia and Dalton Knecht.

Lakers' Gabe Vincent: Invisible in loss
Rotowire
Vincent amassed three points (1-4 FG, 1-4 3Pt), one assist and one steal in 29 minutes during Tuesday's 119-109 loss to the Warriors.
Vincent drew the start Tuesday, but his impact on this game was quite limited. The offense in Los Angeles will run through Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves while LeBron James (sciatica) is sidelined, and if Tuesday was any indication, Vincent will struggle to hold much fantasy appeal despite his role as a starter.

Lakers' Gabe Vincent: Posts team-high 22 points in start
Rotowire
Vincent logged 22 points (6-15 FG, 4-4 FT, 6-11 3Pt) and three assists over 25 minutes in Wednesday's 121-94 loss to the Mavericks.
The Lakers weren't expected to win this match due to the conservative approach they are taking with their starters. With Luka Doncic (rest) riding the pine, Vincent assumed the point guard role and found great success beyond the arc, draining six three-pointers in the loss. It's an encouraging line for Vincent, who will be quite useful as a second-unit replacement.

After sitting out the front end of the team's back-to-back set in Tuesday's loss to Phoenix, Vincent will return to game action against the Mavericks. The 29-year-old guard appeared in a career-high 72 regular-season games (11 starts) in 2024-25, during which he averaged 6.4 points and 1.4 assists across 21.2 minutes per game. Lakers' Gabe Vincent: Drops team-high 16 points
Rotowire
Vincent scored 16 points (4-9 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 5-5 FT), adding five assists in 19 minutes during Sunday's 111-103 preseason loss to the Warriors.
Vincent made his preseason debut after missing the opening game against the Suns, moving into the starting lineup alongside Jake LaRavia. With both LeBron James (pinched nerve) and Luka Doncic (rest) still sidelined, Los Angeles has been able to mix up its rotation, getting a good look at some projected role players such as Vincent. While this was an encouraging performance, Vincent has more competition for minutes this season. He will likely battle for minutes against the likes of LaRavia, Marcus Smart and Nick Smith.
