Darren Collison: Scores 19 points during start
Collison logged 19 points (8-13 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), six rebounds, six assists and three steals across 37 minutes during Sunday's 126-120 win over the Agua Caliente Clippers.
Collison played well during his first start for South Bay's G League team. The 34-year-old will continue to log starts in place of an injured Mac McClung recovering from concussion symptoms.

Darren Collison: Debuts against Legends
Collison logged 11 points (5-8 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four assists and two rebounds across 24 minutes during Friday's 122-110 loss to the Texas Legends.
Collison made his G League debut Friday and will try earning an NBA call-up before its ongoing season concludes. However, South Bay's young starting backcourt (Mac McClung and Mason Jones) could prevent Collison from recording sufficient playing time needed to demonstrate his abilities.

Darren Collison: Joining South Bay Lakers
Collison agreed Tuesday to a contract with the Lakers' G League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
Collison is hoping to lead the No. 2 seed South Bay Lakers to a G League title, which could help earn him a call-up to the NBA. He appeared in three games for the Lakers earlier this season in December. In his 37 minutes, he totaled four points, four rebounds, two assists and one steal.

Darren Collison: Contract expires
The Lakers didn't re-sign Collison after his 10-day contract expired Monday, Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com reports.
Collison played double-digit minutes in each of his three appearances for the Lakers during his 10-day contract. However, now that the Lakers are only missing Anthony Davis and Kendrick Nunn due to knee injuries, the veteran point guard's services are no longer needed.

Lakers' Darren Collison: Plays 12 minutes Christmas Day
Collison amassed zero points (0-3 FG, 0-2 3Pt), two rebounds and one assist over 12 minutes during Saturday's 122-115 loss to the Nets.
Collison joined the Lakers on Christmas Eve via a 10-day hardship contract, and he was thrown directly into the fire amid a handful of COVID-related absences. The veteran last played in the NBA in 2018-19 as a member of the Pacers, and he looked plenty rusty in his return to action. In the short term, the UCLA product could continue to see minutes off the bench, but there's not much fantasy upside here.

Lakers' Darren Collison: Signing on with Lakers
The Lakers are planning to sign Collison to a 10-day hardship contract and are hopeful he'll be available for Saturday's Christmas Day game against Brooklyn, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
Collison initially announced his retirement following the 2018-2019 campaign and will be making a comeback to the NBA. The 34-year-old guard considered a return during the 2019-20 season and was speculated to be signing with either the Lakers or the Clippers but it never came to fruition. The Lakers currently have five players in protocols along with an additional two that're injured. They'll now bring in Collison to provide them with some added depth in the backcourt for the next 10 days.

Darren Collison: Won't return to NBA this season
Collison has decided not to return to the NBA this season, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
For the last few weeks, it seemed like a foregone conclusion that Collison would eventually sign with either the Clippers or the Lakers, but he's now decided to remain retired for the duration of the season. This isn't a massive blow to either team, but the Lakers, especially, could have used Collison's services as another ball-handler after they opted not to make any trades before Thursday's deadline.
