Kings' Russell Westbrook: Leads fourth-quarter rally
Westbrook totaled 21 points (9-16 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), six rebounds, 11 assists, one block and one steal in 30 minutes during Saturday's 128-123 win over the Nuggets.
Westbrook scored 15 of his 21 points against his former team and was instrumental in the late rally, ending a horrific eight-game skid for the Kings. Although Dennis Schroder also scored 21 points from the bench, Westbrook has gradually taken over the starting job at point guard. He's played with the first unit in 11 of 17 games, and has averaged 13.2 points, 8.6 rebounds, 8.4 assists, and 1.2 steals over his last five starting appearances.

Kings' Russell Westbrook: Struggles with shot in loss
Westbrook registered 11 points (4-10 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds and four assists over 21 minutes during Thursday's 137-96 loss to the Grizzlies.
The Kings suffered one of their biggest losses of the season, and Westbrook was one of the few players who ended up posting a decent fantasy line. The veteran floor general is not the triple-double threat he once was, but he can still put up decent numbers as long as he stays in a starting role. Westbrook is averaging 11.0 points, 7.8 rebounds and 6.8 assists per game over his last five outings.

Kings' Russell Westbrook: Tacks three steals in loss
Westbrook supplied seven points (3-7 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 0-2 FT), 11 rebounds, six assists and three steals across 30 minutes during Wednesday's 113-99 loss to Oklahoma City.
Westbrook logged just his first single-digit scoring performance while being in the starting lineup, which may primarily be attributed to being pulled early due to Oklahoma City building an insurmountable lead in the fourth quarter. In nine starts this season, Westbrook averages 16.1 points, 8.7 rebounds, 7.0 assists, 1.3 steals and 2.6 threes on a remarkable 45.1 percent clip.

Kings' Russell Westbrook: Triple-doubles, makes history
Westbrook provided 13 points (5-11 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 1-4 FT), 10 rebounds and 14 assists over 31 minutes during Friday's 124-110 loss to the Timberwolves.
Head coach Doug Christie started Westbrook in place of Dennis Schroder in this game, and while the Kings suffered another defeat, Westbrook delivered a vintage performance while posting his second triple-double of the campaign. As if that wasn't enough, Westbrook also became the ninth player in NBA history to record 10,000 career assists and only the second with 25,000 points as well, joining LeBron James (back) in that exclusive list. Westbrook should experience an uptick in his fantasy value as long as he remains in a starting role due to his ability to rack up stats with ease.

Kings' Russell Westbrook: Starting Friday
Westbrook will replace Dennis Schroder in the starting lineup for Friday's matchup in Minnesota, NBA reporter Chris Haynes reports.
It appears Westbrook has beaten out Schroder for the starting point guard position in Sacramento, so his arrow is pointing up. Across six starts this season, Westbrook has compiled averages of 18.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 6.0 assists, 2.8 triples, 1.2 steals and 3.8 turnovers per game.

Kings' Russell Westbrook: Flops in start
Westbrook produced 10 points (4-11 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two rebounds and three assists across 22 minutes during Wednesday's 133-100 loss to the Hawks.
Westbrook was a non-factor in the loss, delivering one of his worst performances of the season despite moving back into the starting lineup due to Zach LaVine's (thigh) absence. The Kings are struggling right now, having lost eight of the last 10 games. Although Westbrook has been able to put up viable fantasy production, his role is far from guaranteed, making him a hard player to trust moving forward.

Kings' Russell Westbrook: Starting Wednesday
Westbrook is in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Hawks, Sean Cunningham of Fox 40 Sacramento reports.
Westbrook is getting the start with Zach LaVine (thigh) unavailable, and he'll be joined in the first unit by DeMar DeRozan, Dennis Schroder, Precious Achiuwa and Domantas Sabonis. Through five starts this season, Westbrook has compiled averages of 20.2 points, 9.2 rebounds, 6.6 assists, 3.2 triples, 1.4 steals and 4.0 turnovers per contest.

Kings' Russell Westbrook: Coming off bench Sunday
Westbrook won't start in Sunday's game against the Timberwolves, James Ham of ESPN 1320 Sacramento reports.
Precious Achiuwa will get the starting nod Sunday, pushing Westbrook to the second unit. Over four appearances off the bench so far this season, the veteran guard has averaged 10.8 points, 5.3 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 24.3 minutes per contest.

Kings' Russell Westbrook: Leads team with 24 points
Westbrook totaled 24 points (9-17 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 1-2 FT), six rebounds and nine assists over 35 minutes during Friday's 132-101 loss to Oklahoma City.
Westbrook was with the first unit for the third consecutive time in the loss, and it appears that his presence is more than a passing trend. He's successfully unseated Malik Monk and Keon Ellis as Dennis Schroder's counterpart in the backcourt, and is posting solid totals along the way. Although he was off the fantasy radar to begin the season, he's viable now in his new role.

Kings' Russell Westbrook: Vintage outing in win
Westbrook generated 23 points (9-13 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 16 rebounds, 10 assists and one steal over 35 minutes in Wednesday's 121-116 win over Golden State.
Westbrook, the NBA's all-time leader in triple-doubles, added another tally to his total Wednesday. Westbrook's 16 rebounds were his most since May of 2021. The veteran guard has offered a major boost to the Kings' starting lineup while Keegan Murray (thumb) has been sidelined. In his last six games, Westbrook is averaging 17.8 points, 8.3 rebounds, 6.7 assists and 1.7 steals across 32.1 minutes.

Kings' Russell Westbrook: Delivers another double-double
Westbrook finished with 26 points (10-17 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 3-3 FT), 12 rebounds, six assists and two steals in 37 minutes during Monday's 130-124 loss to the Nuggets.
Westbrook turned back the clock Monday by posting his best all-around showing of the young season. He notched his second straight double-double, this time by grabbing double-digit boards after dishing out 10 assists in his previous appearance Saturday in Milwaukee. Westbrook has also seen his workload increase steadily of late, logging 34 and 37 minutes to begin the month.

Westbrook won't start in Saturday's game against the Bucks, Sean Cunningham of Fox 40 Sacramento reports.
Dylan Cardwell will enter the starting lineup for the first time in his career Sunday, pushing Westbrook to the second unit. Over three appearances off the bench this season, the veteran point guard has averaged 10.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 21.0 minutes per game.

Kings' Russell Westbrook: Knocks down four threes
Westbrook supplied 16 points (6-16 FG, 4-8 3Pt), nine rebounds, four assists and one steal across 30 minutes during Tuesday's 107-101 loss to the Thunder.
Westbrook made his first start of the season Tuesday and delivered a well-rounded effort, flirting with a double-double while hitting four three-pointers for the second consecutive game. After logging fewer than 20 minutes in each of his first two appearances with the Kings, the veteran guard has seen his workload increase over the past two contests, averaging 17.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.0 steals in 28.5 minutes during that span.
