Davidson cleared waivers Wednesday and was sent outright to Triple-A Salt Lake.
Davidson spent most of his time in Triple-A this season, slashing .252/.387/.399 with 10 homers, 51 RBI, 60 runs and seven steals across 94 minor-league games. Now that he no longer has a place on the Angels' 40-man roster, he'll likely need to impress during spring training to reclaim a spot.

Angels' Logan Davidson: Sitting in second straight
Rotowire
Davidson is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Brewers, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports.
Davidson had started at first base in five straight games from last Wednesday through Sunday, but he went just 3-for-18 with nine strikeouts during that stretch. He's now on the bench for the second time in as many days, with Oswald Peraza getting the nod at first base Wednesday. The Angels could use a three-man committee of Peraza, Davidson and Carter Kieboom at the position for the remainder of the season.

Angels' Logan Davidson: Making fifth straight start
Rotowire
Davidson will start at first base and bat sixth in Sunday's game against the Mariners.
Davidson will draw his fifth straight start at first base after going 3-for-15 with a home run and a double over the past four games. The Angels appear content to give Davidson a look in a near-everyday role at the position until Nolan Schanuel (wrist) is cleared to make his return from the injured list.

Angels' Logan Davidson: Added to big-league roster
Rotowire
The Angels recalled Davidson from Triple-A Salt Lake on Thursday.
Davidson was claimed off waivers from the Astros on Wednesday and will report to the major-league club. The 27-year-old has spent the bulk of this season at the Triple-A level, slashing .250/.385/.395 with 10 homers and seven steals. Davidson can play all over the diamond, but his best chance at immediate playing time is at first base, where Nolan Schanuel (wrist) remains shelved.

Angels' Logan Davidson: Catches on with Halos
Rotowire
The Angels claimed Davidson off waivers from the Astros on Wednesday.
Davidson will move on to his third organization of the season, after Houston previously claimed him off waivers from the Athletics on July 25. The 27-year-old corner infielder has played in just nine career games at the big-league level, but the Angels could give him a look at some point in September as the organization looks to better assess how he fits into their long-term plans. Between his stops at the Triple-A affiliates of the Athletics and Astros this season, Davidson has slashed .252/.387/.399 with 10 home runs, seven stolen bases and a 17.2 percent walk rate over 419 plate appearances.

Athletics' Logan Davidson: Removed from 40-man roster
Rotowire
The Athletics designated Davidson for assignment Wednesday, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.
The transaction frees up a spot on the 40-man roster for lefty Ben Bowden, whose contract was selected from Triple-A Las Vegas on Wednesday. He was a first-round pick back in 2019 but hasn't developed as hoped, slashing .263/.412/.397 in the hitter-friendly Pacific Coast League this season as a 27-year-old. Davidson offers some positional versatility and is still young enough that he might draw some interest on waivers.

Athletics' Logan Davidson: Joins big club
Rotowire
The Athletics selected Davidson's contract from Triple-A Las Vegas on Friday, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.
Davidson is in line to make his MLB debut against the Phillies at some point this weekend. With Gio Urshela (hamstring) placed on the 10-day injured list, Davidson could be a candidate to make starts at third base for the Athletics. The 27-year-old Davidson has slashed .310/.456/.437 with two home runs, 22 RBI, 30 runs scored and seven stolen bases across 182 plate appearances at Triple-A.

Athletics' Logan Davidson: Gets call to Triple-A
Rotowire
Davidson was recalled from Double-A Midland to Triple-A Las Vegas on Friday, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports, and went 2-for-2 with a two-run single after entering a loss to Reno as a defensive replacement in the seventh inning.
The Aviators wasted no time getting an up-close look at Davidson, and the 25-year-old picked up right where he'd left off offensively at Midland. Davidson earned the promotion by posting a .297 average and .863 OPS for the Rockhounds across 48 games, and if he can display similar acumen in Las Vegas, a September call-up for the versatile infielder wouldn't be out of the question.
