  • Blue Jays' Braydon Fisher: Collects seventh win

Fisher (7-0) pitched two scoreless innings, allowing one hit and no walks, to pick up the win in Monday's 2-1 extra-innings contest against the Rays. He struck out four. Fisher worked a scoreless 10th and then returned with a one-run lead in the 11th to slam the door on the win. The Toronto righty has been dynamic out of the bullpen this season, producing a 2.78 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 60:16 K:BB over 45.1 total frames. Despite being in a middle-relief role, Fisher is an intriguing fantasy option down the stretch for those looking to protect pitching ratios.

  • Blue Jays' Braydon Fisher: Recalled from Triple-A

The Blue Jays recalled Fisher from Triple-A Buffalo on Friday, Mitch Bannon of The Athletic reports. Fisher has twirled 5.1 shutout innings since he was demoted to Triple-A on Aug. 20. In a corresponding move, Toronto optioned Dillon Tate to Buffalo.

  • Blue Jays' Braydon Fisher: Sent packing to minors

The Blue Jays optioned Fisher to Triple-A Buffalo on Wednesday. Fisher has been one of the team's better relievers this season, posting a 3.03 ERA and 50:12 K:BB over 38.2 innings. However, he has allowed a total of four runs over his last four appearances, and having minor-league options remaining certainly worked against him. His spot on the active roster will be taken over by Shane Bieber (elbow), who is slated to come off the 60-day injured list to make his season debut with a start Friday in Miami.

  • Blue Jays' Braydon Fisher: Strikes out side for third hold

Fisher walked one and struck out three in a scoreless seventh inning Monday to record his third hold of the season in a win over the Yankees. The Blue Jays needed five relievers to complete the final four innings, and Fisher was the most effective of the bunch as the carved up the bottom of New York's order after Toronto took the lead in the bottom of the sixth. Fisher went the entire month of June without allowing a run, delivering a 0.68 WHIP and 19:3 K:BB over 13.1 innings, and two of his three holds have come in the last week as he works his way into a higher-leverage role in the bullpen.

  • Blue Jays' Braydon Fisher: Notches first MLB win

Fisher (1-0) picked up the win Thursday, recording the final out in the top of the 11th inning in a 7-6 victory over the Padres. Brendon Little allowed the phantom runner to score in both the 10th and 11th frames, but Fisher retired Elias Diaz to close out the 11th and then fell into the win column when the Blue Jays scored twice in the bottom of the inning. It was Fisher's first career win in the majors in his fifth appearance, and the 24-year-old righty has been very effective so far in a low-leverage role, posting a 0.00 ERA, 0.56 WHIP and 6:0 K:BB in 5.1 innings.

  • Blue Jays' Braydon Fisher: Dealt to Toronto

The Blue Jays acquired Fisher from the Dodgers on Wednesday in exchange for utility man Cavan Biggio, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports. Toronto didn't have much leverage in any trade discussions pertaining to Biggio after designating him for assignment over the weekend, but the club was at least able to get back an interesting minor-league reliever in Fisher. A 2018 fourth-round pick, Fisher has split the 2024 campaign between Triple-A Oklahoma City and Double-A Tulsa, striking out 30 batters over just 19 innings but also issuing 15 walks and compiling a bloated 5.68 ERA. The Blue Jays haven't revealed whether Fisher will be immediately assigned to Triple-A Buffalo or Double-A New Hampshire.
