  • Rays' Hunter Feduccia: Idle against lefty

Feduccia is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cardinals. With southpaw Matthew Liberatore toeing the rubber for the Cardinals, Feduccia will give way to Nick Fortes behind the dish. Feduccia has produced a minuscule .506 OPS in 15 games since being acquired from the Dodgers at the trade deadline.

  • Rays' Hunter Feduccia: Not in Wednesday's lineup

Feduccia is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's contest against the Angels. Feduccia and Nick Fortes have split the Rays' catching duties evenly since the former was added to the roster this past Friday. Fortes will be behind the dish and bat ninth in Wednesday's series finale.

  • Rays' Hunter Feduccia: Joins active roster

The Rays recalled Feduccia from Triple-A Durham on Friday. Feduccia will join the Rays to provide some much-needed offensive help behind the plate after logging an .866 OPS in 333 plate appearances with the Dodgers' Triple-A affiliate in Los Angeles prior to being dealt to Tampa Bay ahead of Thursday's trade deadline. Now that he's up with the big club, the 28-year-old will most likely work in the strong side of a platoon at catcher with Nick Fortes.

  • Dodgers' Hunter Feduccia: Headed back to minors

Feduccia was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports. Feduccia was recalled to take the roster spot of Freddie Freeman (ankle), but he's logged only three plate appearances since March 4. Feduccia will be optioned to create space for Freeman to return Friday.

  • Dodgers' Hunter Feduccia: Optioned to Triple-A

The Dodgers optioned Feduccia to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Saturday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports. Feduccia remains with the club in Japan on the 31-man travel roster but has officially been removed from the major-league roster. The 27-year-old made his big-league debut down the stretch last year and went 4-for-12 in five games, but he isn't likely to see much action in 2025 if Will Smith and Austin Barnes stay healthy.

  • Dodgers' Hunter Feduccia: Optioned to minors

The Dodgers optioned Feduccia to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday, Kirsten Watson of Spectrum SportsNet LA reports. Feduccia appeared in three games after Austin Barnes hit the 10-day injured list Sept. 16. In that small sample, Feduccia went 3-for-10 with a walk and RBI. Barnes was activated off the injured list in a corresponding move Thursday.

  • Dodgers' Hunter Feduccia: Sent back to OKC

The Dodgers optioned Feduccia to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday. Feduccia was brought up from the minors Aug. 19 to serve as extra catching depth while Austin Barnes (toe) was on the injured list. Now that Barnes has returned to the active roster, Feduccia will head back to Triple-A after appearing in one game, during which he went 1-for-2 with a walk.

  • Dodgers' Hunter Feduccia: Called up Monday

Feduccia was called up from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Monday. Feduccia will officially join the major-league roster, replacing Austin Barnes (toe) as the team's backup catcher after Barnes was placed on the 10-day injured list Monday. Feduccia has produced a .282 average with six home runs, 46 RBI, 38 runs scored and two stolen bases over 252 at-bats in 73 games with Triple-A Oklahoma City this season.

  • Dodgers' Hunter Feduccia: Will be recalled Monday

The Dodgers are expected to recall Feduccia from Triple-A Oklahoma City prior to Monday's contest against the Mariners, J.P. Hoornstra of DodgersNation.com reports. He'll replace Austin Barnes, who is headed to the 10-day injured list. Feduccia, 27, had one plate appearance with the Dodgers earlier this season and has posted an .848 OPS with six homers this year at Oklahoma City. He will serve as Will Smith's backup.

  • Dodgers' Hunter Feduccia: Optioned to OKC

  • Dodgers' Hunter Feduccia: Headed to majors

The Dodgers recalled Feduccia from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Saturday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports. Feduccia has slashed .295/.420/.451 with 42 RBI across 274 plate appearances in Triple-A, and he'll now come up from the minors to give the Dodgers some additional depth behind the plate. The 27-year-old backstop doesn't have a clear path to playing time with Will Smith and Austin Barnes both still on the MLB roster, but if he's able to get into a game, it will mark his major-league debut.

  • Dodgers' Hunter Feduccia: Sent to Triple-A

Feduccia was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Sunday. Feduccia has been unimpressive at the plate this spring, going 1-for-11 with a double, three walks, an RBI and two runs scored while striking out five times over eight contests. The catcher will look to produce a little more consistently at Triple-A in order to earn another shot with the major-league roster.

  • Dodgers' Hunter Feduccia: Off to red-hot start in Triple-A

Through 12 games with Triple-A Oklahoma City, Feduccia is slashing .432/.577/.838 with four home runs, 21 RBI, nine runs and a 14:11 BB:K. Feduccia was a 12th-round draft pick by the Dodgers in 2018 out of Louisiana State. He hit 15 long balls in 294 at-bats between Double-A and Triple-A last season but batted a modest .238. He's pounded the ball thus far in 2023, with seven of his 16 hits going for extra bases. The Dodgers have plenty of organizational depth at catcher with Will Smith in the majors and Diego Cartaya and Dalton Rushing among their top prospects in the minors, so Feduccia isn't currently seen as a future starter. However, he could emerge as an MLB backup and could feasibly see some time in the majors this season with neither Cartaya or Rushing yet to reach the Triple-A level.
