  • Dodgers' Justin Wrobleski: Closes out Rays for first save

Wrobleski earned the save in Friday's 5-0 win over the Rays, allowing one hit and no walks in three scoreless innings. He struck out five. With the Dodgers holding a 5-0 lead, Wrobleski was brought on essentially for mop-up duty and picked up his first save of the year. The left-hander has a 4.00 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 46:11 K:BB over 45 innings, and he should continue to serve as a multi-inning weapon but still likely isn't a candidate for many more future save chances out of Los Angeles' bullpen.

  • Dodgers' Justin Wrobleski: Joins big-league bullpen

The Dodgers recalled Wrobleski from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Sunday. Wrobleski looks poised to operate as a more traditional reliever during this stint with the big club. With Shohei Ohtani likely to build up to four innings in his next start Wednesday and Blake Snell on track to return from the 60-day injured list later in the week, the Dodgers won't have an opening in the rotation for Wrobleski, who has logged a 4.50 ERA and 1.20 WHIP over 40 innings in the majors this season.

  • Dodgers' Justin Wrobleski: Sent back to minors

The Dodgers optioned Wrobleski to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Monday. Wrobleski struggled as a bulk reliever Saturday against the Astros, permitting five runs (four earned) over 4.2 innings while notching six strikeouts. The lefty had pitched well in June with a 2.73 ERA and 26:6 K:BB over 26.1 frames, but with Tyler Glasnow (shoulder) poised to return later this week, Wrobleski will head to Oklahoma City for now.

  • Dodgers' Justin Wrobleski: Struggles behind Ohtani in loss

Wrobleski (4-3) tossed 4.2 innings in bulk relief Saturday, allowing five runs (four earned) on seven hits and one walk while striking out six batters to take the loss. Shohei Ohtani gave the Dodgers two scoreless frames to begin the game, but Wrobleski couldn't hold a 2-0 lead. He gave up four runs in his initial frame, then served up a solo homer in the fourth inning. To Wrobleski's credit, he gave Los Angeles some needed length and retired 12 of the final 14 batters he faced, but the early damage against him was too much for the Dodgers to overcome. It appears Ohtani will continue to build up his workload gradually and slowly, so Wrobleski may continue to work in a bulk role behind the two-way star. If that ends up being the case, both hurlers could next see action against San Francisco next weekend.

  • Dodgers' Justin Wrobleski: Expected to pitch Sunday in KC

Wrobleski is expected to start or pitch in bulk relief during Sunday's game in Kansas City, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports. The Dodgers are holding off naming a starter for the series finale against the Royals, likely because they're planning to use an opener in front of Wrobleski. The southpaw has fared much better in bulk relief than he has as a traditional starter, posting a 1.96 ERA, 0.87 WHIP and 19:2 K:BB over 18.1 innings in the former role.

  • Dodgers' Justin Wrobleski: In line for bulk relief Wednesday

Wrobleski is expected to serve as a bulk reliever in Wednesday's game against the Padres, Sammy Levitt of 97.3 The Fan San Diego reports. Ben Casparius will open the contest and likely to work a couple of innings before turning the game over to Wrobleski. The left-handed Wrobleski has made two starts and one bulk-relief appearance for the Dodgers this season, posting a 7.20 ERA and 13:6 K:BB across 15 innings.

  • Dodgers' Justin Wrobleski: Gives up four runs in loss

Wrobleski (1-2) took the loss against the Cardinals on Friday, allowing four runs on six hits and three walks while striking out five across six innings. Wrobleski made his second major-league start of the season Friday after being promoted from Triple-A Oklahoma City. He gave up two runs in the second and fifth frames -- including a two-run shot to Pedro Pages -- and the 24-year-old southpaw wasn't able to get any run support to avoid the loss. Wrobleski gave up eight runs in his 2025 debut against the Nationals on April 8, but he has posted a 3.60 ERA and 1.00 WHIP in 10 innings across his last two outings. He's tentatively slated to face the Padres on the road next week.

  • Dodgers' Justin Wrobleski: Call-up official

The Dodgers recalled Wrobleski from Triple-A Oklahoma City ahead of Friday's game against the Cardinals. Wrobleski is set to start Friday's contest, which will be his second MLB start of the campaign. The 24-year-old has stumbled to a 5.09 ERA over 40.2 innings with Oklahoma City, and he's allowed eight runs in nine big-league innings this season. His struggles and lack of strikeout stuff -- he has an 8.3 K/9 at Triple-A -- make him a shaky fantasy option. Landon Knack was optioned to Oklahoma City in a corresponding move.

  • Dodgers' Justin Wrobleski: Set to start Friday

Wrobleski is expected to be recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City to start Friday against the Cardinals, Kirsten Watson of Spectrum SportsNet LA reports. The Dodgers continue to shuffle the back end of their rotation, giving Wrobleski his first chance to start in the majors since May 15. He's had mixed results in two starts, though he completed four shutout innings with a 4:0 K:BB in his last opportunity with Los Angeles on May 15 versus the Athletics. Wrobleski has worked as a traditional starter with Oklahoma City, so he should be able to handle a relatively large workload Friday if he's efficient and effective.

  • Dodgers' Justin Wrobleski: Sent back to OKC

The Dodgers optioned Wrobleski to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports. Wrobleski pitched well after being recalled Thursday, tossing four shutout frames and striking out four batters while collecting his first win of the season. However, he'll now be sent back to the Comets in favor of Ryan Loutos, who offers another fresh arm to Los Angeles' bullpen.

  • Dodgers' Justin Wrobleski: Recalled from Triple-A

The Dodgers recalled Wrobleski from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday. Wrobleski will offer length in the bullpen Thursday against the Athletics while Matt Sauer makes a spot start. The left-hander was roughed up for eight runs in five frames in a spot start with the big club last month but has yielded just three runs over 13 innings in his last two starts with OKC.

  • Dodgers' Justin Wrobleski: Demoted after rough start

The Dodgers optioned Wrobleski to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Wednesday. One day after getting called up to start Tuesday's game against the Nationals, Wrobleski will be swapped off the active roster for right-hander Landon Knack, who will be recalled to fill the other opening in the Los Angeles rotation. The Dodgers expanded to a six-man rotation this week due to the injury to Blake Snell (shoulder) and for the purpose of giving Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Roki Sasaki extra days of rest between starts, but Wrobleski doesn't look as though he'll be in line for an extended stay with the big club. The Dodgers will look to break in a new sixth starter next week after Wrobleski was rocked for eight earned runs on eight hits and three walks over five innings en route to taking a loss Tuesday in his 2025 debut in the majors.

  • Dodgers' Justin Wrobleski: Recalled ahead of Tuesday's start

The Dodgers recalled Wrobleski from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday. Wrobleski will start Tuesday against the Nationals and could earn additional opportunities while Blake Snell (shoulder) is sidelined. The young left-hander held a 5.70 ERA,1.38 WHIP and 26:16 K:BB across 36.1 innings with the big club last season and tossed 5.2 scoreless frames with Oklahoma City in his first outing of the season.

  • Dodgers' Justin Wrobleski: Excels in spring start Sunday

Wrobleski pitched three perfect innings, striking out two batters in a Cactus League contest against the Athletics on Sunday. Wrobleski allowed just two balls to leave the infield, as he induced five groundouts to go along with his two punchouts. The southpaw contributed six starts among eight regular-season appearances in his first taste of the majors last year and posted a 5.70 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 26:16 K:BB over 36.1 innings. Wrobleski's opportunities with the big club in 2024 were precipitated by a rash of injuries to the team's pitching staff, and he's likely to begin 2025 at Triple-A.

  • Dodgers' Justin Wrobleski: Sent to Triple-A

Wrobleski was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Sunday. He picked up a four-inning save Saturday, so Wrobleski won't be available to pitch for a couple days. The 24-year-old lefty logged a 5.70 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 26:16 K:BB in 36.1 innings with the big club this season and will retain his prospect eligibility heading into 2025.

  • Dodgers' Justin Wrobleski: Picks up four-inning save

Wrobleski picked up the save over the Rockies on Saturday, allowing two hits and two walks over four scoreless innings while striking out four. Wrobleski relieved Yoshinobu Yamamoto to open the sixth inning and went 1-2-3 through the top of Colorado's lineup before allowing each of the first two men to reach in the seventh. However, the southpaw was able to work his way out of the jam without taking any damage and managed to close out the contest for Los Angeles to pick up his first save of the campaign. It was a strong effort for Wrobleski, who was just recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City earlier that day, as he was able to eat up innings and help to provide additional rest for the Dodgers' bullpen ahead of the playoffs.

  • Dodgers' Justin Wrobleski: Back in big leagues

The Dodgers recalled Wrobleski from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday. With Gavin Stone (shoulder) landing on the injured list, Wrobleski may be needed for a start this weekend against the Guardians. Wrobleski has made six starts for the big club this season, pitching to a 6.82 ERA and 1.38 WHIP across 30.1 innings. He's a work in progress, but Wrobleski's numbers at Double-A this season (3.06 ERA, 1.04 WHIP, 62:13 K:BB in 67.2 innings) demonstrate the lefty's potential.

  • Dodgers' Justin Wrobleski: Called up ahead of start

The Dodgers recalled Wrobleski from Triple-A Oklahoma City ahead of his scheduled start Sunday against the Diamondbacks. Wrobleski initially looked like he might only be in store for a spot start Sunday, but he could have the opportunity to stick around for a few turns through the rotation after Clayton Kershaw (toe) landed on the injured list Saturday. Over his previous five starts with the big club this season, the rookie southpaw turned in a 4.68 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 18:9 K:BB across 25 innings.

  • Dodgers' Justin Wrobleski: Starting Sunday

The Dodgers will recall Wrobleski from Triple-A Oklahoma City to start Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks, Kirsten Watson of Spectrum SportsNet LA reports. Through the first five starts of his MLB career, Wrobleski has put up a 4.68 ERA and 1.20 WHIP alongside an 18:9 K:BB through 25 innings. He's now set to receive another chance to prove he can stick around in a Dodgers rotation that has been plagued with injuries, though he'll have the tough task of facing a Diamondbacks offense that boasts an incredible .850 OPS since the start of August.

  • Dodgers' Justin Wrobleski: Escapes with first win

Wrobleski (1-1) allowed four earned runs on four hits and two walks while striking out three over five innings to earn the win in Friday's 7-6 victory over the Cardinals. Wrobleski served up three home runs, but a Dodgers rally in the top of the sixth inning allowed him to come away with his first MLB win. He's given up multiple home runs in three of his five starts at the big-league level this season and owns a 4.68 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 18:9 K:BB through 25 innings. The Dodgers haven't disclosed whether Wrobleski will be in line for another start; he was called up from Triple-A Oklahoma City to replace the injured Tyler Glasnow (elbow) on the 26-man roster Friday, but Bobby Miller is expected to start Saturday's game and could displace Wrobleski in the process.
