Brewers' Coleman Crow: Dismissed from big-league camp

The Brewers optioned Crow to Triple-A Nashville on Sunday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
Crow will likely be in line for a full-time stay in the Nashville rotation in 2026 after he made all but two of his starts last season at Double-A Biloxi, with whom he submitted a 2.51 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 52:8 K:BB in 43 innings. The 25-year-old right-hander was added to the Brewers' 40-man roster over the winter, but he's buried on the organizational starting pitching depth chart and is unlikely to be in store for an extended stay in Milwaukee at any point during the upcoming season.

Crow (elbow) allowed one hit and struck out a batter over a scoreless inning of relief in Tuesday's 10-0 win over the Athletics in Cactus League play.
The relief appearance marked the spring debut for Crow, who didn't pitch after July 9 last season due to a right flexor strain. The 25-year-old righty was added to the Brewers' 40-man roster over the winter, but he doesn't appear to be a serious candidate to crack the Opening Day roster and is likely to begin the 2026 season in the rotation at Triple-A Nashville.

The Brewers selected Crow's (elbow) contract from Triple-A Nashville on Monday, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
He's now on the 40-man roster and protected from the Rule 5 Draft. Crow was limited to just 50 innings in 2025 due to injury, but he pitched well when on the bump, posting a 3.24 ERA and 64:12 K:BB between Double-A Biloxi and Nashville. The 24-year-old ended the season on the 7-day injured list at Nashville with a flexor strain, but he did not require surgery.

Crow is unlikely to return this season due to a right flexor strain, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
Crow hasn't pitched since early July, first due to a hip injury and more recently because of the flexor strain. It does not appear he will need surgery at this time, but the Brewers don't intend to push the 24-year-old to return before the end of the season. Crow has been terrific in 2025 when healthy, collecting a 3.24 ERA and 64:12 K:BB over 50 innings covering 12 starts between Double-A Biloxi and Triple-A Nashville.

The Brewers acquired Crow (elbow) from the Mets on Wednesday in exchange for Adrian Houser and Tyrone Taylor, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.
Crow underwent Tommy John surgery this past August and will likely miss the entire 2024 campaign. Selected in the 28th round of the 2019 MLB Draft out of a high school in Georgia, the right-hander owns a career 4.33 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 221:70 K:BB in 214.1 minor-league innings.

Mets' Coleman Crow: Traded by Angels for Escobar

Crow (undisclosed) and Landon Marceaux were acquired by the Mets from the Angels on Friday in the trade for Eduardo Escobar.
Crow has not been able to pitch for Double-A Rocket City since the end of April because of an undisclosed injury, but he had a 1.88 ERA in four starts with a 31:6 K:BB prior to being placed on the 7-day injured list. The right-hander was drafted in the 19th round out of Kennesaw State by the Angels in 2019, and he has a chance to develop into a rotation option thanks to a five-pitch mix and the ability to land those pitches for strikes.

Angels' Coleman Crow: Sent to minors camp

Crow spent the 2022 season in Double-A with Rocket City, posting a 4.85 ERA and 1.31 WHIP over 24 appearances (23 starts) spanning 128 innings. He likely will be a part of Triple-A Salt Lake's rotation in 2023.
