Mark Bowman@mlbbowman4H agoBy selecting Walt Weiss as their new manager, the Braves extended a successful Bobby Cox link that dates back four decades https://t.co/zytPTgN7yt -

Mark Bowman@mlbbowman5H agoAs for those wondering why the Braves chose a member of Snit's staff instead of keeping him around, everyone has their own distinct voice and direction. Weiss will have the chance to lead with a team and front office that is better than those he had as the Rockies manager. -

Mark Bowman@mlbbowman6H agoThe Braves spent the past month getting a better feel for all potential candidates and for how Weiss would fit as this team's manager. It feels like a decision could have been made earlier But it doesn't sound like the wait had to do with Danny Lehmann or anyone else in the WS. -

David O'Brien@DOBrienATL8H agoAs expected, Ha-Seong Kim declined his $16M player option for 2026 and is a free agent. It was expected because the shortstop free-agent market is so thin and he showed in his four weeks with #Braves that he’s healthy again. I would guess at least $20M AAV in multi-year deal. -

Mark Bowman@mlbbowman9H agoHa-Seong Kim has opted out of his $16M option for 2026. This isn’t a surprise. He’s now a free agent. But the Braves can continue to try to sign the shortstop to a multi-year deal. @JonHeyman was on it -

Mark Bowman@mlbbowman12H agoTrying to figure out who the next Braves manager will be remains a fluid development. But I think we can once again cross John Gibbons off the list. As for Danny Lehmann, my confidence in him being the selection has dipped significantly this morning.
