  • Cubs' Kyle Tucker: Belts two homers in blowout win

Tucker went 3-for-5 with two home runs, a double and five RBI in Saturday's 12-1 win over the Angels. Tucker has homered three times over the last two games, which comes just after he was given a break to reset amid a prolonged power slump. The outfielder opened the scoring with a two-run homer in the third inning and followed it up with a three-run blast in the sixth. A hairline fracture in his right hand derailed a promising season in June, but it's now healed, and Tucker is starting to look like a star player once again. He's slashing .262/.373/.465 with 21 homers, 68 RBI, 82 runs scored and 25 stolen bases through 124 contests overall. This is his third 20-20 season, and a 30-30 campaign can't be ruled out if his bat stays hot over the last month-plus of 2025.

  • Cubs' Kyle Tucker: Goes deep in win

Tucker went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 3-2 win over the Angels. The home run was Tucker's first since July 19 and his 19th of the season. The outfielder has been in a well-documented slump, as he's batting just .171 with a .530 OPS across his last 20 games. Tucker is reportedly fully recovered from a hairline fracture in his right hand that had impacted his swing, and Friday's long ball could be a sign that he's starting to feel comfortable at the plate again.

  • Cubs' Kyle Tucker: Continues to scuffle in return

Tucker, who went 0-for-4 with a walk in Thursday's loss to the Brewers, is batting just .069 over his last eight games. Tucker sat out both ends of Tuesday's doubleheader against Milwaukee, then got Wednesday off as well in an effort to snap out of his slump, but the extra rest didn't translate to improved production in Thursday's series finale. It was recently disclosed that the outfielder sustained a hairline fracture in his right hand June 1, which likely impacted his swing, though manager Craig Counsell said Wednesday that Tucker has fully healed. At this point, it seems like the 28-year-old simply needs to regain his confidence at the plate. The Cubs will likely give him plenty of opportunities to get going, but rookie Owen Caissie is on hand to provide an alternative if Tucker continues to struggle.

  • Cubs' Kyle Tucker: Back in lineup Thursday

Tucker will start in right field and bat second in Thursday's game against the Brewers. The Cubs gave Tucker a three-game break as he navigates through an extended slump in which he's slashed .195/.333/.242 since the beginning of July. Manager Craig Counsell also revealed Wednesday that Tucker was diagnosed with a hairline fracture in his right hand back on June 1, though that injury is now healed. The Cubs have won three straight games with Tucker out of the lineup and will go for four in a row Thursday with their All-Star outfielder back in starting nine.

  • Cubs' Kyle Tucker: Recovered from hand fracture

Cubs manager Craig Counsell said Wednesday that Tucker has fully healed from the hairline fracture he sustained to his right hand June 1, Jesse Rogers of ESPN.com reports. Though the injury occurred at the beginning of June, the Cubs hadn't disclosed until Wednesday that Tucker had been affected by the hand issue. Tucker has been held out of the lineup for the Cubs' last three games, as Counsell is trying to allow the outfielder to get a mental reset while he's hit just .189 with four extra-base hits since the beginning of July. The Cubs wrap up their series with the Brewers on Thursday, but it's unclear if Tucker will be back in the lineup for the finale.

  • Cubs' Kyle Tucker: Absent from Wednesday's lineup

Tucker is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Brewers. Tucker sat out both ends of Tuesday's doubleheader and will remain on the bench again Wednesday as manager Craig Counsell gives the outfielder some time off to clear his head while he's in the midst of a slump at the plate. Owen Cassie will start in right field and bat seventh in place of Tucker, who has a .182 batting average since the All-Star break.

  • Cubs' Kyle Tucker: Idle for both games of doubleheader

Tucker is out of the lineup for the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader with the Brewers. Cubs manager Craig Counsell previously said Monday that Tucker would receive multiple days off while he fights through an extended slump at the plate. After he went 0-for-4 in the Cubs' 7-0 loss to the Brewers in the first game of Monday's scheduled doubleheader, the second contest was postponed, resulting in the two teams playing a twin bill Tuesday. Tucker sat out the Cubs' 6-4 win in Game 1 and will now take a seat again for Game 2 while Owen Caissie draws another start in right field.

  • Cubs' Kyle Tucker: Scores twice, steals base in win

Tucker went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and two runs scored in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Pirates. Tucker had been mired in an 0-for-14 slump over his last four games, but he snapped out of it with a strong effort Saturday. The outfielder is still searching for his first home run since July 19, and in 22 contests since then, he's slashing just .187/.344/.213. Tucker may still be bothered by a finger injury sustained June 1, though he has downplayed its impact on his swing.

  • Cubs' Kyle Tucker: Scores twice, swipes base Saturday

Tucker went 1-for-4 with a walk, an RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's 9-1 win over the Cardinals. He also stole a base. Tucker, who recently downplayed the impact a lingering finger injury has had on his swing, still has just one home run since the All-Star break. However, the talented outfielder was productive Saturday all the same. Tucker's fantasy ceiling is a bit lower if he's not leaving the yard consistently, but he can still deliver in other ways, including on the bases, as he now has 24 stolen bases this season in 26 attempts. His career high is 30 steals, which he recorded back in 2023 with the Astros.

  • Cubs' Kyle Tucker: Says finger is fine

Tucker, who has been hampered by a right ring finger injury sustained June 1, says the finger now feels "fine," Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports. While Tucker downplayed the impact of the injury on his play in recent weeks, his production has taken a dip. In 52 games since jamming his finger on a stolen base attempt, the outfielder is slashing .255/.373/.413 with six home runs. While those aren't bad numbers, they do pale in comparison to the .283/.391/.520 slash line and 12 homers he posted in 58 contests through the end of May. Cubs president of baseball operations Jed Hoyer acknowledged the 28-year-old may have developed some bad habits in his swing to compensate for the issue, even if the finger was no longer bothering Tucker. Either way, the outfielder seems determined to play through his aches and pains, and he has enough talent to get back to the elite level he displayed earlier this season.

  • Cubs' Kyle Tucker: Getting rare day off

Tucker is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Reds. With the Reds sending a southpaw (Andrew Abbott) to the mound and the Cubs wrapping up their series versus Cincinnati with a day game after a night game, the left-handed-hitting Tucker will receive what appears to be a routine rest day. Tucker started in each of the Cubs' last 11 contests, slashing .237/.396/.289 with no home runs, no stolen bases, four RBI and four runs over that stretch. Willi Castro will replace Tucker in right field Wednesday.

  • Cubs' Kyle Tucker: Well-rounded effort in loss

Tucker went 1-for-3 with two walks, an RBI and a run scored in Monday's 8-4 loss to the Brewers. Tucker did a little bit of everything in the defeat, and he managed to extend his hitting streak to four games. The outfielder has seen his power decrease in July, as he only has one home run this month through 21 games. Despite the slight dip in production, Tucker remains a dangerous hitter, and he's in a favorable spot to see his counting stats trend upward again as a key piece of a potent Chicago lineup.

  • Cubs' Kyle Tucker: Banged up, should play Friday

Cubs manager Craig Counsell said that Tucker is "banged up" after fouling a ball off his right knee in Tuesday's 6-0 win over the Royals, but he's expected to be back in the lineup Friday versus the White Sox after sitting out Wednesday's series finale versus Kansas City, Zoe Grossman of Marquee Sports Network reports. Despite being slowed by the knee issue, Tucker played a full nine innings in right field Tuesday night, finishing 0-for-2 with a pair of walks, his 23rd stolen base of the season and a run scored. He'll be getting some maintenance for Wednesday's afternoon contest, and his absence from the lineup coupled with a team off day Thursday should provide sufficient healing time for Tucker in advance of the weekend series with the White Sox. Seiya Suzuki will spell Tucker in right field Wednesday.

  • Cubs' Kyle Tucker: Homers, racks up four hits

Tucker went 4-for-5 with a home run, a double, a stolen base, four total runs and three total RBI in a 12-3 rout of the Astros on Saturday. Tucker contributed to a seven-run fourth inning with a three-run blast to right field. He collected three more knocks to finish with his second four-hit performance of the campaign, while the four runs and three RBI both tied his season-best marks. Tucker added his 20th stolen base of the season for good measure, making him one of three players this season (along with Elly De La Cruz and teammate Pete Crow-Armstrong) to tally at least 15 home runs and at least 20 thefts.

  • Cubs' Kyle Tucker: Stays hot Tuesday

Tucker went 3-for-4 with a walk, a run scored and two RBI in a loss to the Cardinals on Tuesday. Tucker went 0-for-4 in Monday's contest but has been mostly locked in lately, and Tuesday was no exception. Over his last 10 games, the outfielder has gone 14-for-36 with six extra-base hits, five RBI and eight runs scored. This was the second three-hit effort for Tucker during his recent hot stretch, and he remains an elite fantasy option across all formats, especially when he's seeing the ball this well.

  • Cubs' Kyle Tucker: Tallies three hits in win

Tucker went 3-for-4 with two doubles and a run scored in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Brewers. Tucker was not in the starting lineup Sunday as he rested a sprained right ring finger, and then the Cubs had an off day Monday. The extra time off seemed to help the talented outfielder, as he returned Tuesday with his seventh game this year with three or more hits. Tucker has been awesome in his first season in Chicago, as he's now batting .284 with a .909 OPS. He's also chipped in 13 home runs and 18 stolen bases, giving him a well-rounded fantasy stat line.

  • Cubs' Kyle Tucker: Goes deep in loss

Tucker went 1-for-3 with two walks, a solo home run and two total runs scored in Monday's 4-3, extra-innings loss to the Phillies. Tucker touched up Philadelphia starter Zack Wheeler in the first inning for his 13th home run of the season. The outfielder hadn't gone deep since May 21, though he continued to make strong contact with a .277 batting average in the 14 games without a home run. For the year, Tucker is now batting .279 with an elite .912 OPS through 65 games, and he's been a key reason why the Cubs are in first place in the NL Central.

  • Cubs' Kyle Tucker: Held out again Wednesday

Tucker (finger) remains out of the lineup for Wednesday's contest against the Nationals. Tucker will miss a second straight start after jamming his right ring finger in Sunday's game versus the Reds. He is considered day-to-day. The Cubs will again go with Seiya Suzuki in right field and Justin Turner at designated hitter Wednesday.

  • Cubs' Kyle Tucker: Absent from Tuesday's lineup

Tucker (finger) is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Nationals. The 28-year-old jammed his right ring finger during Sunday's game against the Reds and had X-rays come back negative, but he'll still end up missing at least one start, which will be his first time on the bench this season. Tucker should be considered day-to-day, while Seiya Suzuki moves out to right field and Justin Turner starts at designated hitter Tuesday.

  • Cubs' Kyle Tucker: X-rays negative on finger

Tucker (finger) had X-rays that came back negative on his jammed right ring finger after Sunday's 7-3 win over the Reds, Bruce Levine of 670TheScore.com reports. Tucker was removed from Sunday's victory in the top of the fifth inning after suffering a jammed finger earlier in the game. The outfielder appears to have avoided a significant injury, and with the Cubs off Monday, he may not miss any game action as a result. He can be considered day-to-day ahead of Tuesday's series opener with the Nationals.
