Rotowire
Profar went 3-for-5 with two home runs, five RBI, a stolen base and an additional run scored in Monday's 13-9 loss to the White Sox.

The journeyman switch hitter now has five career multi-homer games, and he's hit safely in 12 of his last 17 outings. Profar is slashing a robust .297/.444/.641 with nine extra-base hits, 15 RBI, 16 runs scored and four stolen bases over his last 81 plate appearances.

Braves' Jurickson Profar: Big day from top of order
Rotowire
Profar went 3-for-5 with a double, a run scored, three RBI and a stolen base in Wednesday's win over the Mets.
The veteran outfielder drove in multiple runs for the first time since July 10, and through 12 games in August he's slashing .279/.446/.581 with three homers, three steals, eight RBI and 12 runs. Profar's been thriving at the top of the batting order, but with Ronald Acuna (calf) set to return from the IL any day now, it's not clear which of them will handle leadoff duties.

Profar went 1-for-3 with a walk, a solo home run and a stolen base in Friday's loss to the Marlins.
Atlanta scored only one run on the night, and it came when Profar spoiled Edward Cabrera's shutout bid in the sixth inning. Rotowire
Profar went 1-for-2 with two walks and a solo home run in Monday's 3-1 loss to the Brewers.
Atlanta managed only three hits in total against Quinn Priester and the Milwaukee bullpen, but one of them was Profar's blast to lead off the bottom of the first inning. Braves' Jurickson Profar: Swipes base in win
Rotowire
Profar went 0-for-3 with two walks, a steal and a run scored in Monday's 9-5 victory over San Francisco.
Profar notched his first steal of the season when he took second off Giants reliever Camilo Doval in the eighth inning. This marks the 32-year-old's first stolen base since Sept. 22, 2024, when he was a member of the Padres. Since returning from an 80-game PED suspension in early July, Profar has batted .238 (15-for-63) with three homers, 11 runs scored and eight RBI across 15 games.

Braves' Jurickson Profar: Could stick in leadoff spot
Rotowire
Profar went 1-for-4 with a walk and a run scored in Friday's win over the Yankees, and David O'Brien of The Athletic reports that Atlanta manager Brian Snitker could consider leaving the veteran outfielder in the leadoff spot even after Austin Riley (abdomen) returns to the lineup.
In three games since Riley landed on the IL, Profar has hit at the top of the order and reached base six times, while Ronald Acuna has dropped down to third and gone 3-for-11 with three extra-base hits. Riley typically hits third, but he could find himself lower in the order when he gets healthy. "I kind of like [Acuna] there," Snitker said after Friday's game. "I like that top three right there [with Matt Olson batting second], I think that's pretty good. I've always envisioned [Acuna] being that guy. We'll see, but I don't think Austin's gonna care where he hits either." Since returning to the lineup in early July following an 80-game PED suspension, Profar is slashing .288/.302/.538 with four doubles, three homers, eight RBI and nine runs in 12 contests.

Braves' Jurickson Profar: Goes yard Thursday
Rotowire
Profar went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Thursday's 5-4 extra-innings loss to the Athletics.
Profar has hit safely in six of eight games since returning from his 80-game PED suspension. In that span, he's lifted three homers while going 8-for-34 (.235) at the plate. As expected, Profar has settled back in as Atlanta's primary left fielder, and he's delivering notable power. He's also struck out nine times since his return, though none of them came Thursday, so it shouldn't be too long until his timing is all the way back.

Braves' Jurickson Profar: Goes yard again Thursday
Rotowire
Profar went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's loss to the Angels.
The veteran outfielder is doing his best to make up for lost time, going yard in back-to-back games after being reinstated from his 80-game PED suspension. Profar should be a hot commodity on waiver wires this weekend as a result, but his second-half production still isn't likely to match the career-best pace he posted in 2024 at 31 years old, when he delivered 24 homers and an .839 OPS over 158 regular-season games for the Padres.

Braves' Jurickson Profar: Belts solo homer in return
Rotowire
Profar went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 8-3 win over the Angels.
Profar made his first start since March 30 on Wednesday after serving his 80-game suspension for violating the league's PED policy. He collected his first hit in the sixth on a single before launching a solo shot to right field in the seventh, his first of the season. Profar will serve as Atlanta's everyday left fielder after the team designated Alex Verdugo for assignment. However, if Atlanta can turn things around and make the playoffs, Profar would be ineligible to play in October due to the suspension.

Braves' Jurickson Profar: Returns from suspension
Rotowire
Atlanta reinstated Profar (suspension) from the restricted list. He'll start in left field and bat fifth in Wednesday's game against the Angels.
Atlanta designated Alex Verdugo for assignment to clear room on the 40-man roster for Profar, who should step back in as the club's everyday left fielder after serving his 80-game suspension for violating MLB's performance-enhancing drugs policy. Despite his long layoff from action, the 32-year-old didn't show any signs of rust during his 13-game rehab assignment with Triple-A Gwinnett, as he slashed .333/.407/.583 with three home runs and an 8:6 K:BB. Profar had batted out of the leadoff spot in Atlanta's first four games of the season before being suspended, but with Ronald Acuna having since returned from the injured list and with Matt Olson thriving of late out of the two hole, Profar is expected to hit in the middle of the lineup moving forward.

Braves' Jurickson Profar: Likely to bat in heart of order
Rotowire
Manager Brian Snitker said Sunday that he expects to slot Profar (suspension) in the middle of the Atlanta lineup when the 32-year-old outfielder returns from the restricted list for Wednesday's game against the Angels, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports. "I think we can move [Profar] around in kind of the middle of the order," Snitker said. "The fact he's a switch hitter and all that's gonna work out good."
Before he was handed an 80-game suspension March 31 for violating MLB's performance-enhancing drugs policy, Profar had batted leadoff in each of Atlanta's first four games. Ronald Acuna has since returned from the injured list to reclaim table-setting duties, but Snitker had previously said two weeks ago that he expects to deploy Profar as the team's everyday left fielder and No. 2 hitter upon his return. However, with Atlanta receiving good results from Matt Olson out of the two hole lately, Snitker is now more inclined to have Profar slot into the middle of the batting order against both right- and left-handed pitching, which could create more RBI opportunities for the switch hitter. Since beginning his rehab assignment at Triple-A Gwinnett on June 17, Profar has looked dialed in at the plate, slashing .326/.404/.587 with three home runs and an 8:6 BB:K.

Braves' Jurickson Profar: Two hits to kick off rehab stint
Rotowire
Profar (suspension) went 2-for-3 with a walk and an RBI for Triple-A Gwinnett on Tuesday.
The 32-year-old outfielder has missed most of the season so far due to an 80-game PED suspension, but Profar began a rehab assignment Tuesday and didn't show any rust. He's eligible to be reinstated July 2, and he should immediately slot back in as Atlanta's starting left fielder and two-hole hitter.

Braves' Jurickson Profar: Will bat second upon return
Rotowire
Atlanta manager Brian Snitker indicated Tuesday that Profar will be slotted into the No. 2 spot in the lineup upon his return from an 80-game PED suspension July 2, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.
Profar will begin playing minor-league contests with Triple-A Gwinnett on Tuesday and is expected to play all nine innings in every game he plays over the next two weeks, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports. It's fair to question how productive Profar will be as he comes back from a PED suspension, but his situation and upside warrant him being stashed in most fantasy leagues where he's available.

Braves' Jurickson Profar: Taking live BP
Rotowire
Profar (suspension) has begin taking live batting practice at Atlanta's spring training complex in North Port, David O'Brien of the Athletic reports.
Slapped with an 80-game PED suspension four games into the season, Profar has yet to give Atlanta much of a return on the three-year, $42 million contract he signed with the club this winter. He's eligible to rejoin the 26-man roster July 2 and can begin playing in minor-league games Tuesday, and given the miserable production the team has gotten in left field in his absence, Profar should immediately jump into the starting lineup upon his return. He'll be ineligible for postseason action this year, however, so if the NL East squad makes a push up the standings before the trade deadline -- Atlanta is currently 14 games back of the Mets for the division lead, and eight games out of the final wild-card spot -- the 32-year-old could get some real competition for playing time down the stretch.

Braves' Jurickson Profar: Looks healthy in leadoff spot
Rotowire
Profar went 2-for-4 with a double in Thursday's Grapefruit League game against the Phillies.
Seeing his first Grapefruit League action since March 8 after recovering from a wrist injury, Profar slotted immediately back into the leadoff spot and wasted no time showing he was healthy by rapping a first-inning two-bagger off Nabil Crismatt. After a breakout 2024 campaign with the Padres, the switch-hitting Profar signed a three-year contract with Atlanta over the winter and should slot in atop a potent batting order for at least the early part of the season, until Ronald Acuna (knee) is ready to rejoin the lineup.

Braves' Jurickson Profar: Took batting practice Sunday
Rotowire
Profar (wrist) took batting practice Sunday and could return to Grapefruit League action Thursday, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.
Profar's batting practice came a day earlier than expected, which would seem to be a good sign as he works his way back from a bone bruise in his left wrist. He could be back in Grapefruit League games soon and getting in some extra reps in minor-league contests is a possibility, as well. Profar is expected to be ready to roll come Opening Day.

Braves' Jurickson Profar: Dealing with bone bruise
Rotowire
Profar was diagnosed with a bone bruise in his left wrist Sunday, and he's not expected to be sidelined for Opening Day, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.
The news comes as a relief for Atlanta, which will already be without star Ronald Acuna (knee) for the start of the campaign. Profar signed a three-year, $42 million contract in January and is poised to operate as Atlanta's primary left fielder after posting an .839 OPS with 24 homers in 158 regular-season games for San Diego last year.

Braves' Jurickson Profar: Heading for CT scan
Rotowire
Profar flew to Atlanta on Sunday to undergo a CT scan on his jammed left wrist, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.
The 32-year-old had X-rays come back negative after suffering the injury during Saturday's Grapefruit League matchup with the Pirates, but he's set to receive another round of imaging. The results of Profar's CT scan are expected to be available Monday. If he's unavailable to begin the regular season, Bryan De La Cruz and Jarred Kelenic would likely fill starting roles in Atlanta's outfield, rather than platooning in right field.
