Yankees call up Nick Goody, option Branden Pinder, DFA Gregorio Petit

The Yankees added RHP Nick Goody to the active roster, the team announced on Saturday.
The pitching prospect has split the season between Double-A Trenton and Triple-A Scranton, going 1-2 with a six saves and a 1.68 ERA.
To make room on the active roster, the Yankees optioned RHP Branden Pinder to Triple-A. Pinder had a 2.92 ERA in 11 games with the Yankees.
To open a spot on the 40-man roster, the Yankees designated infielder Gregorio Petit for assignment. He was hitting .167 in 20 games with the Yankees.
