The Tigers recalled infielder Dixon Machado from Triple-A Toledo to replace Marc Krauss, who will go on the paternity leave list, according to MLB.com.
Machado was up with the Tigers in early-May but hit just .143 in seven at-bats before being sent back down to Triple-A.
Krauss has been with the Tigers since July 6, after they claimed him off waivers after he was designated for assignment by the Rays.
