The Mets activated reliever Scott Atchison from the disabled list following Saturday's game against the Pirates.
Atchison was originally scheduled to return after the All-Star break, but was activated for some bullpen depth, manager Terry Collins told MLB.com. The Mets have played four games of 11 innings or more in July. Atchison owns a 4.50 ERA in 19 appearances this season.
