With closer Jason Grilli for the night, Pirates reliever Mark Melancon took the charge again in the ninth inning, securing a 3-2 win and the save against the Nationals Saturday night.

Melancon struck out one and needed just 11 pitches to complete a 1-2-3 inning. He has nine saves and owns a 1.96 ERA in 23 innings of work.
