Pirates relief pitcher Mark Melancon was charged with a blown save on Monday against the Giants in extras.

Melancon was unable to nail down the save in the ninth, surrendering a game-tying single with no outs. He permitted one run on three hits in one inning of work. His ERA went from 1.29 to 1.80 after Monday's outing. He owns a 10:1 K:BB ratio in 15 innings of relief.
