Cardinals pitcher Maikel Cleto was recalled from Triple-A Memphis Wednesday after Victor Marte was demoted following Tuesday's game against the Diamondbacks. While Cleto has been starting at Memphis recently, he will be used out of the bullpen.
In six starts (30 1/3 innings), Cleto was 2-1 with a 2.97 ERA.
