Mariners shortstop Brad Miller was out of the lineup for a second straight game because of a strained hamstring Monday at Detroit. Carlos Triunfel again started in his place.
Miller is expected to miss a few games with the injury, though the Mariners have yet to provide an exact timetable for his return. He, like the rest of the Mariners offense, has struggled lately, batting .215 (14 for 65) with a homer and a steal in his last 19 games.
