Nationals pitcher Blake Treinen prepared for his return to the rotation Tuesday, as he tossed a simulated game Tuesday.
Treinen threw 45 pitches over three simulated innings according to the Washington Post, in an attempt to get him back up to speed after some time off in the bullpen. Treinen will make his next start Saturday against the Padres, and it could be his last, if Gio Gonzalez is ready to return from the disabled list for his next turn.
