Astros reliever Anthony Bass could be back in the majors by the end of June, as he continues to work his way back from an intercostal strain.

Bass tossed a successful simulated game at the team's spring training complex Tuesday, according to the Houston Chronicle. General manager Jeff Luhnow said the team is trying to figure out what his next step will be, but it will likely be a rehab assignment beginning next week.

"Bass is going to go out on a rehab assignment soon," Luhnow said. “"t will be the first of the guys to come back. Hopefully that will go well so we can get him back before the end of the month."
