The NLCS continues on Wednesday night with the Brewers holding a 2-0 lead over the Dodgers. With the series now shifted to Los Angeles, the defending champion Dodgers will look to gain some ground with Blake Snell on the mound opposite Milwaukee's Robert Gasser. The Brewers squeaked by the Dodgers in Game 1, then got to Yoshinobu Yamamoto early in Game 2 to take the 2-0 series lead.
In the ALCS, meanwhile, the Rays evened the series at 1-1 with a 3-1 victory over the Guardians in Game 2 on Tuesday night. Tampa Bay scored all three of its runs in the fourth, thanks in part to a two-out error from Cleveland star José Ramírez, who let a grounder go through his legs. That error allowed the game's first run to score. Liam Hicks then followed it with a two-run single to make it 3-0 Rays.
The Guardians took Game 1 on Monday in a late comeback against the Rays bullpen, while their own pitching staff stifled the offense after the first inning. The series will now move to Cleveland, beginning with Game 3 on Thursday at 1 p.m., up from 6 p.m. due to weather.
To get here, the Dodgers took down the Braves, the Brewers beat the Padres, the Rays knocked out the Yankees and the Guardians escaped the White Sox. The Astros, Red Sox, Cubs and Phillies were already eliminated in the best-of-three Wild Card Series.
