Nicolas Daws G | WPG
Jets' Nico Daws: Downed by Panthers
Daws stopped 33 of 37 shots in Friday's 5-2 loss to the Panthers. The fifth goal was an empty-netter.
Daws did alright, but the Jets didn't have much to give in the second half of a back-to-back. This was the team's eighth straight loss, though it's the first one on Daws' ledger since he was flipped to Winnipeg in the Connor Hellebuyck trade. Daws has a 2-3-0 record with a 2.86 GAA and an .886 save percentage across six outings between the Jets and the Devils this year. With the Jets skidding, this could turn into an open competition between the three goalies on the roster to determine who gets control of the crease, though Stuart Skinner remains the favorite for now. The Jets' tough road trip continues against the Hurricanes on Sunday.

Bokondji Imama LW | FLA
Panthers' Bokondji Imama: Gets in fight Friday
Imama logged five PIM in Friday's 5-2 win over the Jets.
Imama got into a fight with Tyrel Bauer in this contest. The 30-year-old Imama has brought the expected toughness in a bottom-six role, but he hasn't surprised anyone by chipping in more offense. He's yet to record a point while racking up 39 hits, 36 PIM, eight shots on net and a minus-3 rating over 14 appearances. He could lose his place in the lineup once the Panthers get some injured forwards back.

Eetu Luostarinen C | FLA
Panthers' Eetu Luostarinen: Dishes pair of helpers
Luostarinen logged two assists and a plus-3 rating in Friday's 5-2 win over the Jets.
Luostarinen had gone 11 games without a point prior to Friday. The 28-year-old has a pair of multi-point efforts to his name this season, but he hasn't been a major factor on offense from the Panthers' third line. He's at two goals, two assists, 18 shots on net, 21 hits, 11 blocked shots, eight PIM and an even plus-minus rating over 14 appearances.

Sam Reinhart C | FLA
Panthers' Sam Reinhart: One of each on power play
Reinhart scored a goal on four shots, dished an assist and added two hits in Friday's 5-2 win over the Jets.
Both of Reinhart's points came on the power play. The 30-year-old has four points over his last three games. He's been running streaky, but a move to center recently appears to have helped get him on track again. Reinhart has a total of seven goals, five assists, 43 shots on net, 23 hits and a minus-1 rating over 14 appearances, with eight of his 12 points coming on the power play.

Seth Jones D | FLA
Panthers' Seth Jones: Racks up three points in win
Jones scored a goal, added two assists, blocked three shots and went plus-2 in Friday's 5-2 win over the Jets.
This was Jones' second three-point effort in a row, and he's also logged multiple power-play points in consecutive contests. The defenseman hasn't filled the net a ton, but he's had no trouble setting up his teammates. Jones is up to two goals, 16 assists, 37 shots on net, 15 hits, 14 blocked shots and a plus-4 rating over 14 appearances. Injuries have been a narrative for a few years with Jones, but he's showing what he can do when fully healthy, and the results are good.

Anton Lundell C | FLA
Panthers' Anton Lundell: Completes first career hat trick
Lundell scored three goals on eight shots, doled out two hits, added two PIM and went plus-3 in Friday's 5-2 win over the Jets.
Lundell had gone six games without a point prior to Friday's contest. He emphatically ended the slump with his first career hat trick while also setting a season high for shots in a game. The 25-year-old center is up to four goals, two assists, 42 shots, 19 hits, seven blocked shots and a minus-2 rating over 14 appearances. While the Panthers have dealt with a few injuries this season, Lundell remains on the third line while seeing primarily defensive assignments.

Akira Schmid G | FLA
Panthers' Akira Schmid: Picks up fifth win
Schmid stopped 22 of 24 shots in Friday's 5-2 win over the Jets.
This was Schmid's third win in a row and his fifth in his last six outings. He's allowed just five goals on 70 shots during his current winning streak while filling in as the No. 1 goalie in the absence of Jacob Markstrom (upper body). Schmid is at a 5-2-1 record, 2.86 GAA and .889 save percentage over eight appearances this season. The Panthers' next game is at home Monday versus the Red Wings.

Mitchell Marner RW | LV
Golden Knights' Mitch Marner: Contributes two assists
Marner logged two assists, including one on the power play, and added two PIM in Friday's 5-2 loss to the Devils.
Marner's playmaking surge continues -- he has no goals over his last seven games, but he's earned 10 assists in that span. The 29-year-old winger is up to two goals, 13 helpers, 31 shots on net, nine blocked shots and a minus-2 rating over 13 outings this season. Marner's earned six of his 15 points on the power play, where he's a facilitator on the first unit. He doesn't help as much in formats that heavily reward goals, but Marner's overall production should be right around the point-per-game mark for the season.

Ivan Barbashev LW | LV
Golden Knights' Ivan Barbashev: Lights lamp in loss
Barbashev scored a goal on three shots and added three hits in Friday's 5-2 loss to the Devils.
Barbashev briefly gave the Golden Knights a 2-1 lead late in the first period. The veteran winger continues to chip in decent offense in a top-six role -- he's gotten on the scoresheet in four of his last five games, a span that includes both of his goals this season. Barbashev has 11 points, 20 shots on net, 31 hits, six PIM and a plus-8 rating through 15 appearances.

Mark Stone RW | LV
Golden Knights' Mark Stone: Tallies in loss
Stone scored a power-play goal, added four hits and went minus-2 in Friday's 5-2 loss to the Devils.
Stone's hot start has come to a close, as he ended a three-game goal drought Friday. He had just one assist in that span. The 34-year-old winger remains on the Golden Knights' top line, giving him the potential to pop off on offense at any time. Stone has nine goals, eight assists, 30 shots on net, 19 hits, 11 blocked shots, nine PIM and a plus-8 rating across 15 appearances. He's earned seven of his 17 points on the power play.
