  • Rangers' Joonas Korpisalo: Out for another four weeks

Korpisalo (lower body) will miss at least four more weeks, per Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet on Saturday.

Korpisalo has already missed the first six games of the season and remains on injured reserve. The Rangers announced Saturday that Igor Shesterkin (lower body) will miss the remainder of the 2026-27 campaign. With Korpisalo and Shesterkin unavailable, Dylan Garand is currently the Rangers' No. 1 goaltender.

  • Rangers' Igor Shesterkin: Done for season

Shesterkin (lower body) will be out for the remainder of the 2026-27 season, according to Tom Gulitti of NHL.com on Saturday.

Shesterkin sustained a lower-body injury in Friday's 3-1 loss to Washington. He had to be helped off the ice after his leg bent awkwardly underneath him as he fell in the crease. Shesterkin had a 3-1-0 record with a 1.79 GAA and a .927 save percentage in five appearances this campaign. Joonas Korpisalo (lower body) is still at least four weeks from returning, so the Rangers will lean on Dylan Garand and Spencer Martin (lower body), who is expected to be recalled from AHL Hartford.

  • Flyers' Nikita Grebenkin: Undergoes successful surgery

Grebenkin (back) underwent successful surgery and is expected to miss at least four months.

Grebenkin's upper-body injury has been revealed to be an issue with his back, which he has successfully had repaired. The 23-year-old winger is expected to miss the majority of the 2026-27 campaign, but his current timeline for return, barring any setbacks, projects him back sometime after the All-Star break in mid-February. When he does return, Grebenkin will look to build off a positive rookie campaign, where he compiled four goals, 14 points, 32 shots on net, 86 hits and 17 blocked shots across 55 regular-season outings in 2025-26.

  • Flyers' Rasmus Ristolainen: Headed to IR

Ristolainen (undisclosed) was placed on injured reserve by the Flyers on Saturday.

Ristolainen's move to IR was designated retroactive to Oct. 3. Therefore, that could indicate that he was placed on injured reserve to free up a roster spot amidst the Flyers' handful of other injured players. The 31-year-old Ristolainen has a goal, four shots on net, four hits and seven blocked shots across three appearances to begin the 2026-27 campaign. He's technically eligible to return as early as Sunday's clash with the Hurricanes, but if he can't go, Ristolainen's next chance to be activated is ahead of Tuesday's game against Seattle.

  • Helge Grans D | PHI

Flyers' Helge Grans: Good to go

Grans (lower body) was activated from the injured non-roster list Saturday.

After missing the first five games of the 2026-27 campaign, Grans will make his season debut against Boston on Saturday. He had one assist in six NHL outings with the Flyers during the 2024-25 regular season.

  • Travis Konecny RW | PHI

Flyers' Travis Konecny: Won't play Saturday

Konecny (lower body) has been deemed day-to-day and will miss Saturday's road clash against the Bruins.

Konecny is set to miss at least one game with a lower-body issue. The 29-year-old winger was off to a solid start to the 2026-27 campaign, where he had compiled three assists, eight shots on net, 11 hits and four blocked shots across five outings. In his absence, Carl Gundstrom is the likely candidate to replace him in the team's middle six. Konecny's status will be monitored closely ahead of Philadelphia's clash with the Hurricanes on Sunday.

  • Cam York D | PHI

Flyers' Cam York: Not playing Saturday

York (upper body) is day-to-day and won't play against Boston on Saturday.

York hasn't earned a point in five appearances this season, but he has picked up six shots on net, 10 blocked shots and five hits. It's unclear if he will be ready to play against Carolina on Sunday.

  • Dustin Wolf G | CGY

Flames' Dustin Wolf: Facing Ducks Saturday

Wolf will defend the home paint in Saturday's clash against the Ducks, per Pat Steinberg of QR Calgary 770 AM.

Wolf is set to battle Saturday in order to get back on the right track. The 25-year-old netminder currently has an 0-2-0 record, a 6.00 GAA and a .797 save percentage across 59 shots on net between two games. The young netminder has proven to be capable of much better performances, but his current fantasy ceiling is limited given the results that the Flames are currently posting. Wolf will be matched up against the Ducks on Saturday, who are tied for ninth in the NHL with 3.50 goals per game to start the new season.

  • Capitals' Pierre-Luc Dubois: Absent from practice Saturday

Dubois (illness) will not participate in practice on Saturday, per Sammi Silber of The Hockey News.

Dubois is currently dealing with an illness and won't hit the ice for practice. It remains to be seen whether or not the 28-year-old center is at risk of missing Sunday's home clash against the Kraken, so his status will be monitored closely over the next 24 hours. He's a point per game so far in 2026-27 with a goal and three assists, so if he's to miss Sunday's game, it will be a tough break for the Capitals. If he can't go against Seattle, either Ivan Miroshnichenko or Ethen Frank will likely enter the lineup.

  • Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: In goal Saturday

Swayman will patrol the home crease against Philadelphia on Saturday, according to Belle Fraser of the Bruins' official site.

Swayman has a 3-1-0 record to begin the 2026-27 campaign. He has allowed only eight goals on 118 shots over that span. Philadelphia (0-3-2) has struggled offensively out of the gate, scoring just six times through five outings.
