Gambrell signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Wild on Wednesday.

Gambrell had 10 goals and 36 points in 35 outings with AHL Iowa in 2025-26. The 29-year-old is unlikely to make Minnesota's Opening Night roster, but he'll get a chance to compete for a spot during training camp.
