Tavares (lower body) is week-to-week, according to Mark Masters of TSN on Saturday.
Tavares suffered a lower-body injury in Thursday's 5-4 overtime loss to Buffalo. It's unclear when he will be available to return. He has two goals, seven points, 17 shots on net, five blocked shots and four hits in seven appearances this season. With Tavares unavailable, Gavin McKenna is poised to fill in on the top power-play unit, while Nick Paul will occupy a top-six role.
