  • Trey Palmer WR | NO

Buccaneers' Trey Palmer: Pair of grabs to close out season

Palmer brought in both targets for 32 yards in the Buccaneers' 31-23 divisional-round loss to the Lions on Sunday.

Palmer closed out his rookie campaign with a typical showing, making good use of a modest amount of opportunities with 23- and nine-yard grabs. The sixth-round pick followed up a 39-385-3 line across 17 regular-season games with a combined 3-88-1 tally in two postseason contests, and he could potentially be in line to assume a No. 2 role in 2024 if Mike Evans is allowed to walk in free agency this offseason.

  • Dan Chisena WR | CAR

Dan Chisena: Reverts to practice squad

Chisena reverted to the Ravens' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.

Signed to the practice squad on Jan. 10, Chisena was elevated for Saturday's playoff win over the Texans, seeing action on 16 special teams snaps.

  • Jared Wayne WR | HOU

Texans' Jared Wayne: Signs deal with Houston

The Texans signed Wayne to a reserve/future contract Monday.

Wayne was placed on Houston's practice squad injured list in early December but is evidently healthy enough to sign a deal and go into the offseason with the Texans. Undrafted out of Pittsburgh in 2023, he spent most of the season on Houston's practice squad after failing to catch a pass during the preseason.

  • Texans' Johnny Johnson: Inks deal with Houston

The Texans signed Johnson to a reserve/future contract Monday.

Johnson played four offensive snaps and another five on special teams Week 18 against the Colts, which was only his second career appearance to this point. The 2022 undrafted free agent out of Oregon has spent the last two seasons in Houston's organization.

  • Alex Bachman WR | LV

Texans' Alex Bachman: Inks future deal with Houston

The Texans signed Bachman to a reserve/future contract Monday.

Bachman has been in Houston's organization since November 2022 but hasn't appeared in a regular-season game since the 2021 campaign with the Giants. He spent the final two-plus months of this season on the Texans' practice squad.

  • Malik Heath WR | ATL

Packers' Malik Heath: Makes 13 appearances as rookie

Heath was targeted 24 times and had 15 receptions for 125 yards and a touchdown over 13 regular-season games in 2023.

The undrafted rookie earned himself a roster spot and hung onto it all season, and although he did not do a lot on the stat sheet he did have a few moments. He could have been more involved if Green Bay did not have a glut of productive receivers, but alas he finished his first season sixth on the depth chart at his position. All five wideouts ahead of him are set to return in 2024, but he figures to remain a part of the mix.

  • Packers' Thyrick Pitts: Makes deal with Green Bay

The Packers signed Pitts to a reserve/future contract Monday.

Green Bay didn't add Pitts to its practice squad until December, but it apparently saw enough to give him a chance to compete for a spot on its 53-man roster for 2024. He ran a 4.37 40-yard dash at Delaware's Pro Day last March.

  • Grant DuBose WR | BUF

Packers' Grant DuBose: Staying with Green Bay

The Packers signed DuBose to a reserve/future contract Monday.

DuBose spent most of his rookie season on Green Bay's practice squad, and now he'll get a chance to compete for a spot on its 53-man roster for 2024. He caught 63 passes for 787 yards and nine touchdowns at UNC-Charlotte in 2022.

  • Bo Melton CB | GB

Packers' Bo Melton: Finds paydirt in finale

Melton was targeted once and caught one pass for 19 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 24-21 loss to the 49ers.

Melton did not get many opportunities in Saturday's contest, but he made a couple big plays early in the third quarter, drawing a 41-yard pass interference penalty on the play right before he found pay dirt. He was mainly an afterthought until Week 16, but in the five games the Packers played from that point onward he racked up 17 receptions for 237 yards and two scores. It will be tough for Melton to make a major move up the depth chart in 2024 with all four wideouts ahead of him still under contract, but if Green Bay sticks with the same composition in the receiver room, he should head into training camp no worse than the fifth option at his position.

  • Bryan Thompson WR | BUF

Bills' Bryan Thompson: Sticking with Buffalo

The Bills signed Thompson to a reserve/future contract Monday.

Thompson didn't hear his name called up from Buffalo's practice squad this season, but he'll have a shot at a spot on its 53-man roster for 2024. He caught 25 passes for 377 yards at Arizona State in 2022.
