  • Eagles' Grant Calcaterra: Under the weather

Calcaterra (illness) did not participate in Thursday's practice.

The illness appears to be new, as Calcaterra was not listed on Wednesday's injury report. How he recovers over the coming days will determine whether he will play in Sunday's home game against the Broncos. Kylen Granson and Cameron Latu would be in line to serve as the Eagles' top two tight ends if Calcaterra and Dallas Goedert (knee) were unable to play.

  • Tucker Fisk TE | LAC

Chargers' Tucker Fisk: Limited at practice

Fisk (toe) was a limited participant at practice Thursday.

Fisk was added to the injury report Thursday with an apparent toe injury after he was a full participant Wednesday. The tight end will look to return to log a full practice Friday before the team's matchup with the Commanders at home Sunday.

  • Brock Bowers TE | LV

Raiders' Brock Bowers: Doesn't practice Thursday

Bowers (knee) didn't take part in Thursday's practice, Anthony Galaviz of The Fresno Bee reports.

Bowers has had his practice reps impacted from time to time since injuring his left knee Week 1 at New England. He's still been regularly involved in the Raiders offense through the first four games of the season, hauling in 19 of 27 passes for 225 yards, but he's still in search of his initial end-zone visit. After following up Wednesday's limited session with no activity one day later, Bowers may not escape Week 5 prep without a designation ahead of Sunday's contest at Indianapolis.

  • Nate Adkins TE | DEN

Broncos' Nate Adkins: Returns to practice

Adkins (concussion) was a limited participant at practice Thursday.

Adkins was able to return to practice Thursday after suffering a concussion at some point during the team's Week 4 win over the Bengals. The tight end still needs to clear concussion protocol in order to play Sunday in Philadelphia.

  • Rams' Terrance Ferguson: Playing Week 5

Ferguson is active for Thursday's game against the 49ers.

The rookie second-rounder has been a healthy scratch for the Rams' last two games, but he'll be active for Thursday's NFC West tilt due to the absence of Tyler Higbee (hip). With Higbee sidelined, Ferguson likely will operate as the team's TE3 behind Davis Allen and Colby Parkinson.

  • Tyler Higbee TE | LAR

Rams' Tyler Higbee: Officially inactive Thursday

Higbee (hip) is listed as inactive Thursday against the 49ers, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports.

Despite playing through a hip injury this past Sunday versus the Colts, Higbee missed Tuesday's walkthrough and Wednesday's practice due to the same health concern and thus will sit out on a short week between games. Some combination of Davis Allen, Colby Parkinson and rookie second-round pick Terrance Ferguson will man tight end for the Rams in Week 5.

  • Dallas Goedert TE | PHI

Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Limited in return to practice

Goedert (knee) practiced on a limited basis Thursday.

One day removed from not practicing due to a knee injury Wednesday, Goedert got back on the practice field, albeit with a cap on his reps. He thus has one more chance to get back to all activity Friday, at which point the Eagles could tag him with a designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Broncos. In three appearances this season, Goedert has compiled a 12-114-3 line on 13 targets, with all three scores coming over the last two contests.

  • Noah Fant TE | CIN

Bengals' Noah Fant: Logs full practice Thursday

    Fant (concussion) practiced fully Thursday.

After being listed as limited on Wednesday's practice estimate, Fant's full participation a day later has him trending toward returning to the lineup Sunday against the Lions. Friday's final injury report will determine whether the tight end -- who has 12 catches for 80 yards and a touchdown on 14 targets through three games -- heads into the weekend with a designation.

  • Taysom Hill TE | NO

Saints' Taysom Hill: Another limited practice

Hill (knee) was limited in practice Thursday.

Hill is working his way back from the torn ACL he suffered in his left knee Week 13 of last season, having logged back-to-back capped sessions after the Saints opened his 21-day window to practice after opening the campaign on the reserve/PUP list. At Wednesday's practice, he was spotted working mostly with the quarterbacks but also with the tight ends, according to Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football. Friday's injury report will reveal whether or not Hill has a chance to return to action Sunday against the Giants.

  • Saints' Foster Moreau: Puts in limited practice

Moreau (knee) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.

Moreau missed the Saints' first four games of the season and remains on the PUP list while continuing his recovery from January knee surgery, but he could be on the cusp of making his 2025 debut. The Saints opened his 21-day evaluation window Wednesday, and he's now turned in a pair of limited practices to begin Week 5 prep. Given the length of his absence, the tight end may need to upgrade to full participation Friday to have a realistic chance at being activated ahead of Sunday's game against the Giants.
