Jonathan Taylor RB | IND
Colts' Jonathan Taylor: Hopeful to practice this week
Colts head coach Shane Steichen said Monday he's "optimistic" that Taylor (ankle) will resume practicing this week, with a divisional matchup against the Texans on deck Sunday, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
Taylor hasn't practiced in any capacity since suffering a right high-ankle sprain that's forced him to sit out Indianapolis' last three games, so it would represent significant progress to see him handling even limited reps when the team gets back on the practice field Wednesday. Trey Sermon has averaged just 2.9 YPC with Taylor sidelined the last three weeks, though Tyler Goodson has managed more competent production and scored his first career touchdown Week 7 against Miami. The extent of Taylor's practice activity will need to be closely monitored, but his return would provide the Colts a much-needed boost against Houston if he's able to play.

Raheem Blackshear RB | NYJ
Panthers' Raheem Blackshear: Considered day-to-day
Blackshear suffered a dislocated shoulder in Sunday's loss to the Commanders, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.
Blackshear suffered the injury on a second-half kickoff and was unable to return to the game. Based on the day-to-day timeline given, the Virginia Tech product may have a chance to suit up Week 8 against the Broncos. More clarity on his chances to do so will likely come later in the week when the Panthers release their first injury report.

Blake Corum RB | LAR
Rams' Blake Corum: Limited role on offense
Corum rushed three times for 11 yards during Sunday's 20-15 victory over the Raiders.
The Rams as a unit took only 55 snaps on offense, so Corum's usage was capped at just six offensive snaps compared to starter Kyren Williams, who had another big fantasy day with a robust 21-76-2 rushing line. Surprisingly, both Corum and Williams were blanked as pass catchers. Expect Corum's role to stay the same on a short week against a Minnesota run defense that was just gashed by the Lions and their "Sonic and Knuckles" combo of Jahmyr Gibbs (15-116-2) and David Montgomery (9-31-0) in Week 7.

Emanuel Wilson RB | SEA
Packers' Emanuel Wilson: Limited to five touches
Wilson had five carries for 11 yards in Sunday's 24-22 victory over the Texans.
Wilson had tallied at least seven touches in four straight appearances, but he finished with only five Sunday. Meanwhile, starting running back Josh Jacobs got the ball 17 times Week 7 and averaged just shy of 20 touches over the last three weeks. Wilson cut into Jacobs' workload a bit earlier in the season, but the latter is now being counted on to do what was expected when he was brought in during the offseason.

Trent Pennix RB | IND
Trent Pennix: Gets let go
Pennix was cut from the Colts' practice squad Monday.
Pennix has been in and out of Indianapolis since the team signed him as an undrafted free agent out of NC State in May. It wouldn't be surprising if the 24-year-old received another opportunity with the franchise at some point this season.

JaMycal Hasty RB | NE
Patriots' JaMycal Hasty: Five catches in Week 7
Hasty carried twice for minus-2 yards and caught all five of his targets for 49 yards and a TD in Sunday's 32-16 loss to the Jaguars.
Hasty logged 20 of a possible 60 snaps on offense Sunday while working behind Rhamondre Stevenson (30 snaps), per Mike Reiss of ESPN.com, while Antonio Gibson was on the field for a season-low 10 snaps. Gibson briefly left the game in the first quarter due to an undisclosed issue, a context that may have spurred Hasty's added involvement in New England's Week 7 offense. Looking ahead to this Sunday's matchup against the Jets, Hasty profiles as a speculative lineup option in PPR formats.

Antonio Gibson RB | NE
Patriots' Antonio Gibson: Three carries Sunday
Gibson, who was on the field for a season-low 10 snaps on offense in Sunday's 32-16 loss to the Jaguars, carried three times for four yards and caught his only target for nine yards in the contest, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
After working as the Patriots' lead back Week 6 when Rhamondre Stevenson was sidelined by a foot injury, Gibson returned to a complementary role versus the Jaguars, with Stevenson (30 snaps, seven carries) back in action. Gibson briefly left Sunday's game in the first quarter after suffering an undisclosed injury, and perhaps that led to his limited usage and JaMycal Hasty's corresponding uptick in touches (20 snaps, two carries, five catches). Either way, as long as Stevenson is available, Gibson carries modest fantasy upside.
-
Jaylen Wright RB | MIA
Dolphins' Jaylen Wright: Efficient again in limited work
Wright rushed five times for 33 yards during Sunday's 16-10 loss to the Colts.
Wright worked behind De'Von Achane (15 carries for 77 yards) and Raheem Mostert (11 carries for 50 yards) in the Dolphins' loss to Indianapolis, but his 6.6 YPC mark was the best of the group. The rookie fourth-round pick's explosiveness has been consistently impressive this season, but both Achane and Mostert have also been effective out of the backfield. Wright will need to continue impressing heading into a Week 8 matchup against Arizona if he wants to push for more opportunities in a backfield abundant with talent.
-
Isaiah Davis RB | NYJ
Jets' Isaiah Davis: Career-long 12-yard run
Davis rushed once for 12 yards and returned three kickoffs for 69 yards in Sunday's 37-15 loss to the Steelers.
Davis has played almost exclusively on special teams in his rookie season, but he got a carry on the final play of this lopsided loss and turned it into the longest offensive play of his young career. The 2024 fifth-round draft pick out of South Dakota State remains behind Breece Hall and Braelon Allen on the Jets' backfield depth chart.
-
Braelon Allen RB | NYJ
Jets' Braelon Allen: Just three touches again
Allen rushed twice for four yards and caught his only target for two yards in Sunday's 37-15 loss to the Steelers.
Allen was pushing for a timeshare with Breece Hall early in the season, but the rookie has faded into clear backup territory in the last two games, with six touches compared to Hall's 41 over that span. The shiftier Hall is better with the ball in space as a pass catcher out of the backfield, and the Jets' struggling offensive line hasn't opened up many holes for either running back on the ground. Allen will be little more than a bench stash in fantasy unless his usage trends back up.
