  • Matt Breida RB | SF

49ers' Matt Breida: Totals 71 yards in loss

Breida rushed nine times for 39 yards and caught all three of his targets for 32 additional yards in Sunday's 29-27 loss to the Chargers.

It's an impressive effort given how badly it looked like Breida had twisted his knee in Week 3. The 23-year-old saw five more carries than Alfred Morris, who was reportedly the more banged-up of the two backs entering the game. However, the Georgia Southern product also exited this contest briefly to have his shoulder examined, so he may now be dealing with multiple injuries. It looks like he pulled through healthy enough, though, and he should be able to go Week 5 at home against Arizona.

  • Alvin Kamara RB | NO

Saints' Alvin Kamara: Finds end zone three times in Week 4 win

Kamara rushed for 134 yards and three touchdowns on 19 carries while catching five of nine targets for 47 yards in Sunday's 33-18 win over the Giants.

Kamara carried New Orleans' offense on a rare off day from Drew Brees, scampering into the end zone from distances of nine, four and 49 yards. He's now racked up five rushing touchdowns this season to go with one receiving score. Even with Mark Ingram due back from his suspension Week 5, Kamara should still be a major force as both a runner and receiver against the Redskins on Monday Night Football.

  • Derrick Henry RB | BAL

Titans' Derrick Henry: Held to 31 yards

Henry rushed for 24 yards on eight carries and added seven yards on two catches during Sunday's 26-23 win over the Eagles.

The yardage total matched Henry's season low as Marcus Mariota was thrust into the role of the team's leading rusher. Despite the ability to barrel through defenders, Henry is averaging just over three yards per carry so far this year, more than a full yard below his career average. Given the fact that he has yet to find the end zone and provides relatively little in the passing game, he is more like Tennessee's No. 2 back from a production standpoint.

  • Rashaad Penny RB | CAR

Seahawks' Rashaad Penny: Takes backseat despite Carson's injury

Penny rushed nine times for 49 yards and zero touchdowns in Sunday's 20-17 win over the Cardinals.

Penny was expected to be the team's lead back because Chris Carson (hip) was inactive, but Mike Davis showed a hot hand early and recorded a bulk of the touches (21 carries and four catches). That extends the frustrations for the Seahawks, who reached to pick Penny in the first round of April's draft, and fantasy owners who looked to benefit off Carson's injury. Penny shouldn't be streamed at this time since he could get bumped to the No. 3 role if Carson is healthy for a tough Week 5 matchup with the Rams.

  • Matt Breida RB | SF

49ers' Matt Breida: Returns to game

Breida (shoulder) returned to Sunday's game against the Chargers.

Breida missed a few snaps to be evaluated for a shoulder injury, but he came back out for the next drive and took his first carry for seven yards. The 49ers have lost a slew of starters to injuries over the past two weeks, with their offensive line taking a beating in Sunday's contest.

  • Matt Breida RB | SF

49ers' Matt Breida: Exits with shoulder injury

Breida was removed from Sunday's game against the Chargers in the second half with an apparent shoulder injury, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Breida separated his shoulder during the first week of the preseason but made it back for the regular-season opener. He then suffered a hyperextended knee last week, leading to a 'questionable' designation for Sunday's game. Breida had eight carries for 32 yards and two catches for 12 yards before he was injured.

  • Packers' Jamaal Williams: Losing ground to Jones

Williams gained 27 yards on 11 carries and wasn't targeted in the passing game during Sunday's 22-0 win over Buffalo.

Williams was vastly inferior to Aaron Jones on the ground, as Jones turned 11 carries into 65 yards and a touchdown. Based on how well Jones has played in two games since returning from suspension, he's likely to get more work at Williams' expense against the Lions in Week 5.

  • Corey Grant RB | JAC

Jaguars' Corey Grant: Could see role expand with Fournette re-injured

Grant gained five yards on his lone carry and caught two of three targets for 12 yards in Sunday's 31-12 win over the Jets.

Grant got just three touches in this one with Leonard Fournette making his return from a hamstring injury. Fournette aggravated that injury, however, which could mean a return into the offensive game plan for Grant in Week 5 against a Chiefs defense that's given up more than its fair share of big plays this year.

  • Ronald Jones RB | DAL

Buccaneers' Ronald Jones II: Leads backfield in carries during loss

Jones rushed 10 times for 29 yards and brought in one of two targets for minus-1 yard in the Buccaneers' 48-10 loss to the Bears on Sunday.

Making his NFL debut, Jones struggled to find running room, although not to the extent that he had during an utterly forgettable preseason. The rookie notably outpaced starter Peyton Barber in carries by three, but the atypical game script that saw the Bucs trailing by five touchdowns at halftime could certainly have had something to do with that. Given that Barber hasn't been able to get much going in his opportunity as the No. 1 back, it will be interesting to see how Dirk Koetter uses the upcoming bye week to sort out the backfield's division of labor for a Week 6 divisional clash against the Falcons.

  • Cowboys' Ezekiel Elliott: Explodes for 240 scrimmage yards versus Lions

Elliott carried 25 times for 152 yards Sunday against the Lions. He also caught four passes for 88 yards and a touchdown in the 26-24 win.

Elliott broke off several big gains both through the air and as a runner, notching a new career high in scrimmage yards. He was directly responsible for some pivotal moments in the game, including a nifty 38-yard catch and run into the end zone in the second quarter and a beautiful over-the-shoulder catch to set up the winning field goal in the final seconds. Elliott got off to a bit of a slow start to the season, but he's exploded for 378 scrimmage yards on 48 touches over the last two weeks. His ability combined with the probability of a massive workload make him an excellent fantasy option next Sunday against the Texans.
