Seahawks' Jaxon Smith-Njigba: Notches 76 receiving yards
Jaxon Smith-Njigba gathered in five of six targets for 76 yards during Sunday's 30-23 win against the Chargers.Smith-Njigba's 27-405-6 line on 36 targets through three games to kick off the campaign perhaps wasn't sustainable, but his Week 4 performance was nothing to sniff at considering he paced the Seattle Seahawks in targets among QB Sam Darnold's 22 pass attempts. Smith-Njigba put up at least as many receiving yards in 15 of his 17 regular-season appearances in 2025 as he did Sunday, so a bounceback seems likely when he next takes the field next Sunday versus the 49ers.

Seahawks' Jaxon Smith-Njigba: Another massive performance Sunday
Jaxon Smith-Njigba caught 10 of 14 targets for 128 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 33-31 loss to the Commanders.Having Sam Darnold back under center instead of Drew Lock did nothing to slow Smith-Njigba's momentum. The superstar wideout recorded his third straight game with more than 120 receiving yards while hauling in his fifth and sixth TDs of the season, catching a one-yard toss in the second quarter and an 11-yard strike in the fourth. Smith-Njigba will take an eye-popping 27-405-6 line on 36 targets into a Week 4 clash at home against the Chargers.

Seahawks' Jaxon Smith-Njigba: Trio of scores in dominant performance
Jaxon Smith-Njigba caught nine of 11 targets for 155 yards and three touchdowns during Sunday's 31-7 win over the Cardinals.Smith-Njigba started off his day with a bang, connecting with Drew Lock for an 82-yard touchdown on Seattle's opening possession of the game. The wide receiver later added a seven-yard score in the third quarter before notching a third touchdown in the final period, scoring from 12 yards out to cap off his day. Smith-Njigba has now caught 17 of 22 targets for 277 yards and four touchdowns over two contests to open the 2026 campaign, and he'll have a strong chance to continue his hot start Week 3 against Washington's feeble secondary.

Seahawks' Jaxon Smith-Njigba: Cranks it up in second half
Jaxon Smith-Njigba brought in eight of 11 targets for 122 yards and a touchdown in the Seattle Seahawks' 13-10 win over the Patriots on Wednesday. The reigning Offensive Player of the Year endured a relatively difficult first half after making a 13-yard catch on the second play from scrimmage, losing starting quarterback Sam Darnold to a hip injury after the first drive of the game and experiencing some trouble separating from Patriots star cornerback Christian Gonzalez. However, JSN picked up the pace significantly as No. 2 signal-caller Drew Lock got into a rhythm, recording key third-down catches on consecutive second-quarter possessions and then delivering a dynamic 45-yard catch-and-run touchdown in the fourth quarter following Drake Maye's first interception. Smith-Njigba also subsequently managed a timely 11-yard grab on the drive that culminated with Jason Myers' go-ahead field goal that served as the final points for either side, and the star receiver ultimately delivered game-high totals in receptions, receiving yards and targets. Any extended absence on Darnold's part would stand to affect Smith-Njigba's week-to-week upside, but the standout receiver's chemistry with Lock as Wednesday's game unfolded was encouraging.

Seahawks' Jaxon Smith-Njigba: Not concerned about run game
Jaxon Smith-Njigba said Tuesday in his appearance on ESPN's SportsCenter that rookie running back Jadarian Price had "a great training camp" and will help relieve pressure on the passing game in 2026.After letting Super Bowl LX MVP Kenneth Walker walk in free agency, the Seattle Seahawks will be counting on Price -- the No. 32 overall pick in April's draft -- as well as George Holani and Emanuel Wilson (hamstring) to lead the backfield while Zach Charbonnet (knee) is out for at least the first four games of the season. Walker's tough running combined with Charbonnet's skills on passing downs helped ensure that defenses couldn't devote more resources to shutting down Smith-Njigba, who blossomed into arguably the NFL's top wideout in 2025. After taking most of his snaps out of the slot in his first two seasons, Smith-Njigba thrived while transitioning into more of a perimeter role, compiling a massive 119-1,793-10 receiving line over 17 regular-season games on his way to winning Offensive Player of the Year honors. A league-high 32.6 percent target share played a part in Smith-Njigba achieving his lofty production, but even if supporting pass catchers such as Rashid Shaheed and AJ Barner are more involved in 2026, Smith-Njigba could avoid a major dip in production if the Seahawks lean more heavily on the passing game as a whole. The Seahawks ranked third in the NFL with a 49.7 percent run rate in 2025, and despite Smith-Njigba's early praise for Price, it would still be surprising if the rookie was trusted right away to handle the sort of workloads that Walker and Charbonnet previously shouldered.

Seahawks' Jaxon Smith-Njigba: Always willing to be coached up
Jaxon Smith-Njigba is always willing to be coached up in an attempt to be a better player, Anthony Moeglin of Roundtable Sports reports.Smith-Njigba is coming off of a 2025 campaign during which he caught 119 on 162 targets for 1,793 yards and 10 touchdowns over 17 regular-season games, ultimately being named the NFL's Offensive Player of the Year. That hasn't stopped him from challenging himself, though. "He's the only No. 1 wideout I've been around where you can challenge him, and he's not taking it personally... he wants to be coached, he wants to be challenged," said Seattle Seahawks wide receiver coach Frisman Jackson. It's hard to imagine that Smith-Njigba has another level to his game, but with Seattle's former top running back Kenneth Walker leaving for Kansas City in free agency, the team may have to lean on the passing game at times in 2026, potentially leading to even more opportunities for Sam Darnold to connect with his star wide receiver in the passing game.

Seahawks' Jaxon Smith-Njigba: Eying another step forward
Jaxon Smith-Njigba said he wants to show "different levels" and become an "upgraded version" of himself in 2026 after leading the NFL with 1,793 receiving yards last regular season, Kevin Patra of NFL.com reports.Smith-Njigba enters camp as Seattle's clear offensive centerpiece after an Offensive Player of the Year season and Super Bowl run, but his surroundings have shifted. With former OC Klint Kubiak gone and first-time play caller Brian Fleury taking over, the offense could look notably different despite the return of quarterback Sam Darnold. Smith-Njigba is coming off a season that proves his elite fantasy ceiling beyond a doubt, but it remains to be seen whether Fleury can effectively move him around the formation and create mismatches the way Kubiak did.

Seahawks' Jaxon Smith-Njigba: Becomes new highest-paid WR
Jaxon Smith-Njigba agreed to terms Monday on a four-year, $168.6 million contract extension with the Seattle Seahawks, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. The reigning NFL Offensive Player of the Year, Smith-Njigba had his fifth-year option picked up by Seattle in March, but the intent had always been to negotiate a long-term deal for the two-time Pro Bowler. Now, he becomes the highest-paid wideout in league history at an average of $42.15 million annually, including $120 million guaranteed. Smith-Njigba is coming off a career-best 2025 campaign in which he secured 119 of 163 targets for a league-leading 1,793 yards and 10 touchdowns across 17 regular-season appearances, plus 17 catches (on 26 targets) for 199 yards and two touchdowns across three playoff contests, including a Super Bowl LX win over New England. The chemistry Smith-Njigba has demonstrated with quarterback Sam Darnold makes him a safe bet to return on expectations as one of the top wide receivers taken in 2026 fantasy drafts, especially in PPR formats.

Seahawks' Jaxon Smith-Njigba: Modest numbers in SB win
Jaxon Smith-Njigba brought in four of 10 targets for 27 yards during the Seattle Seahawks' 29-13 win over the Patriots in Super Bowl LX on Sunday. The star receiver couldn't put together anything resembling the typical caliber of performance that earned him the AP NFL Offensive Player of the Year Award earlier in the week, as Christian Gonzalez's blanket coverage freqently served to short-circuit the often prolific Sam Darnold-Smith-Njigba connection. Smith-Njigba also exited the game for a spell in the second half to be evaluated for a possible concussion, but he was able to return shortly thereafter. He did have a couple of particularly close calls that could have made his night much different, as Gonzalez made an excellent diving breakup of a would-be touchdown pass to the talented wideout, and Darnold also missed him running free deep late in the first quarter. Despite the quiet finish to the Super Bowl run, Smith-Njigba will head into the 2026 season as an upper-echelon fantasy asset that will be snapped up in the very early stages of the first round of drafts next summer.
