Colts' Daniel Jones: Remaining starting quarterback
Indianapolis Colts head coach Shane Steichen said that Daniel Jones will remain the team's starting quarterback in Sunday's game against the Jaguars, Mike Chappell of Fox 59 News Indianapolis reports.Though the Colts have limped out to a disappointing 2-5 start to the season, Steichen reiterated that he has confidence in Jones, who signed a two-year, $88 million extension in March after his inaugural campaign in Indianapolis was cut short by a torn Achilles tendon. As expected, Jones hasn't provided much of an impact as a runner (21 carries for 68 yards and a touchdown) coming off major surgery, but his significant regression as a passer (59.6 percent completion rate, 4:7 TD:INT, 5.8 yards per attempt) has impeded the Indianapolis offense. While his contract should give Jones some level of security, another poor performance or two could compel the Colts to give 2023 first-round pick Anthony Richardson another look under center.

Colts' Daniel Jones: Shut down by Minnesota
Daniel Jones completed 13 of 22 passes for 108 yards with an interception in Sunday's 16-10 loss to the Vikings. He added 13 yards on four carries.Whatever Jones learned during his brief time under Minnesota coach Kevin O'Connell at the end of the 2024 season didn't help him figure out Brian Flores' defense. The QB posted a season low in passing yards, and he failed to throw a touchdown for the third time in seven starts this season. Jones will take a miserable 4:7 TD:INT into a Week 8 tilt against the Jaguars.

Colts' Daniel Jones: Picked off twice in rough Week 6 loss
Daniel Jones completed 22 of 42 passes for 269 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions in Sunday's 26-20 loss to the Titans. The Indianapolis Colts committed three turnovers in total and also had a blocked punt returned for a touchdown in an ugly loss to the previously winless Titans. Through six games this season, Jones carries a 4:6 TD:INT and career-worst 5.9 YPA as he struggles to find last year's form, but a depleted group of pass catchers that saw tight end Tyler Warren (groin) sidelined as well Sunday may be contributing to Jones' woes. He's unlikely to find a rhythm in Week 7 against the Vikings' stingy defense.

Colts' Daniel Jones: Can't get ball into end zone in loss
Daniel Jones completed 24 of 44 passes for 267 yards without a touchdown or interception and added four rushing yards on three carries in Sunday's 34-22 loss to the Steelers. The Indianapolis Colts' lone TD came on a one-yard plunge by tight end Tyler Warren in the second quarter, and the rest of their points came via five Spencer Shrader field goals as Jones couldn't get the ball into the end zone. Jones still has yet to re-discover the form he displayed prior to the Achilles injury that ended his 2025 campaign, and through five games this season he's managed a weak 3:4 TD:INT and 5.8 YPA, although a depleted WR room is playing a large part in his downturn as well. Jones will try to build some momentum in Week 6 against the winless Titans.

Colts' Daniel Jones: Getting Allen back in Week 5
Daniel Jones will welcome back Keenan Allen (groin) to his wide-receiver corps in Sunday's Week 5 matchup against the Steelers, as the latter is active for the contest.Jones operated without Allen during a Week 4 win over the Commanders in London, and the veteran quarterback completed just 19 of 34 passes for 143 yards with no touchdowns and one interception while adding a rushing touchdown on four carries. Having the trusted veteran receiver, with whom Jones connected on six occasions for 63 yards and a touchdown the last time Allen was on the field in Week 3 against the Texans, should help prop up the signal-caller's numbers in a matchup versus a Steelers defense that's conceded a 68.4 percent completion rate through four games.

Colts' Daniel Jones: Shrugs off early turnovers in win
Daniel Jones completed 19 of 34 passes for 143 yards and an interception in Sunday's 30-13 win over the Commanders. He added two yards and a rushing touchdown on four carries while committing a fumble. The two turnovers came in the first half, sandwiched around three possessions that ended in punts, but Jones settled down the rest of the way and put points on the board on six of the Indianapolis Colts' final seven drives. His fourth-quarter rushing TD was Jones' first of the year, but his 3:4 TD:INT remains poor, especially when combined when three lost fumbles in four games. He'll try to find some consistency and reduce his mistakes in Week 5 on the road in Pittsburgh.

Colts' Daniel Jones: Overcomes three TOs in Week 3 win
Daniel Jones completed 24 of 36 passes for 235 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Sunday's 19-17 win over the Texans. He also rushed three times for five yards and fumbled three times, losing two.Jones led the Indianapolis Colts to their first win of the season despite the absence of wide receiver Alec Pierce (ankle), who was placed on IR earlier in the week. Tyler Warren (nine), Keenan Allen (six) and Josh Downs (five) accounted for 20 of Jones' 24 completions, including a six-yard touchdown pass to Allen in the second quarter. Ball security has been an issue for Jones, who has three interceptions and two lost fumbles through three games, but the Colts finally have something to feel good about, having notched their first win since Week 10 of last season ahead of a Week 4 trip across the pond to face the Commanders in London.

Colts' Daniel Jones: Comes up just short in KC
Daniel Jones completed 22 of 31 passes for 210 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Sunday's 33-30 overtime loss to the Chiefs. He also rushed three times for 10 yards.Jones orchestrated a touchdown drive on the opening possession for a second consecutive game, capping this one with a one-yard touchdown pass to Tyler Warren. Leading 2025 Indianapolis Colts receiver Alec Pierce (heel) exited the game in the first half, but Jonathan Taylor kept the offense churning with a pair of rushing touchdowns. Jones connected with Laquon Treadwell for a 48-yard pass in overtime, but that drive stalled in the red zone and resulted in a game-tying field goal, which was sandwiched between a pair of Chiefs field goals in overtime to drop the Colts to 0-2 ahead of a Week 3 home game against the AFC South rival Texans.

Colts' Daniel Jones: Lackluster showing to open '26
Daniel Jones completed 19 of 31 passes for 166 yards with one touchdown and one interception while adding one rush for four yards in the Indianapolis Colts' 41-23 loss to the Ravens on Sunday.Jones' middling final line underscored the type of afternoon it was for the Colts' offense overall, which largely struggled outside of some typically strong play on the part of Jonathan Taylor. Jones averaged only 5.4 yards per attempt and took two sacks while finishing with a paltry QB rating of 28.7. The one highlight of Jones' day came late, as he hit Tyler Warren for a nine-yard touchdown pass early in the fourth quarter. Jones may progressively look better the further removed he is from last year's Achilles tear, but he has another tough assignment in Week 2 on the road against the Chiefs next Sunday night.

Colts' Daniel Jones: Impresses in training camp
Daniel Jones was crisp in practice throughout training camp, 107.5 The Fan reports.Jones has put last season's Achilles injury behind him and turned in a strong training camp as he gets ready for 2026. Despite not having a full complement of weapons at his disposal given absences from Josh Downs (calf), Alec Pierce (ankle) and Tyler Warren (groin) and the late signing of Keenan Allen, Jones still impressed. The Indianapolis Colts open their season Sept. 13 at home against Baltimore.
