The Vikings signed Mims to a one-year contract Tuesday.
The 49ers waived Mims in June after a two-week stint with the team. The running back has logged 101 offensive snaps and 60 special teams snaps through 14 career games. With Aaron Jones and Jordan Mason once again set to dominate the Vikings' backfield, Mims will need to show out in training camp to remain on the active roster.
