McKinnon rushed nine times for 31 yards and caught three passes for 45 yards during Thursday's loss to Detroit.
McKinnon's 41-yard catch and scamper in the fourth quarter was the team's longest reception, and he played 36 offensive snaps compared to Matt Asiata's 23. However, Asiata scored the only Minnesota touchdown and averaged 5.4 yards per tote, whereas McKinnon rrushed for just 3.4 yards per carry. McKinnon will likely continue to see the heavier workload because of his ability to make things happen in space, but Asiata continues to be the go-to rusher near the goal line.
