McKinnon was inactive for Monday's loss to the Bears and didn't practice Wednesday, but he returned as a limited participant Thursday and Friday. He's said along he expects to play -- a sentiment he confirmed when talking with the media after Friday's practice, according to Matt Vensel of the Star Tribune. If so, McKinnon will likely return to the larger half of a backfield timeshare with Matt Asiata, potentially leaving Ronnie Hillman without much of a role.
