McKinnon left Sunday's game against the Eagles in the third quarter because of an ankle injury, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
McKinnon had 48 scrimmage yards on 12 touches before leaving the game and was seen slamming his helmet down in disgust as the trainers examined his ankle. While his evaluation is still in the preliminary stages, a sense of optimism over his availability in Week 8 versus the Bears has already prevailed. In the event that he is unable to go, Matt Asiata would likely lead the backfield next Sunday.
