Jefferson signed with the Commanders' practice squad Monday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
The wide receiver was released by Washington on Aug. 30. Jefferson has 166 career regular-season catches for 2,226 yards and 13 touchdowns across six different NFL campaigns. With the Commanders, he joins a receiver room that thins out significantly after veterans Terry McLaurin and Stefon Diggs.
