McNichols recorded only rush for three yards in Sunday's Week 2 win over Seattle. He added three receptions for 26 yards.
Derrick Henry took over the game in the second half, which left McNichols to occupy a smaller role than usual. After playing on 36 percent of offensive snaps in Week 1, he was on the field only 24 percent of the time in Week 2. However, McNichols did maintain a role in the passing game and appears to be the clear backup to Henry for the time being.
