Titans' Derrick Henry: Foot injury may be severe

Henry suffered a potentially serious foot injury in Sunday's game and is scheduled for an MRI on Monday to determine the full extent of the damage, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Henry took 28 carries for 68 yards in a 34-31 overtime win over the Colts, but Zak Keefer of The Athletic reports that the running back was carted around inside the stadium after the game. Schefter's report refers to the foot injury as "potentially season-ending", albeit with the disclaimer that an MRI is still needed for a proper diagnosis. Jeremy McNichols has operated as Henry's backup and passing-down replacement this year, while 2020 third-round pick Darrynton Evans (knee) is out for the season after being placed on injured reserve for a second time. Jay Glazer of Fox Sports suggests Henry likely suffered a broken fifth metatarsal of his foot.
