The Texans announced that Sheffield (undisclosed) will open up training camp on the active/PUP list Tuesday.
Sheffield will now look to get healthy before the start of the season after signing with the Texans in March. The 27-year-old hasn't appeared in a regular-season game since 2021, when he registered four tackles (two solo) for the Falcons. He'll likely find himself competing for a depth role in the secondary once healthy.
