Dowdle (knee) was listed as a limited participant on Thursday's injury report, Alan Saunders of SteelersNow.com reports.
Thursday marked another limited session for Dowdle, who has been dealing with a knee issue in the lead-up to the Steelers' upcoming game against the Saints. He will have a chance to ramp up to a full practice on Friday before the Steelers make a final call on his gameday status.
