Homer caught all three targets for 48 yards in Sunday's 30-17 loss to the Vikings.
Homer logged 16 offensive snaps, finishing second behind Chris Carson (23) and barely ahead of Alex Collins (14). His increased usage was a direct result of the game script, as Homer is the team's best pass-blocking running back, and he's elusive after the catch. Thus, Homer's role should stay consistent even when Rashaad Penny (calf) returns to the lineup. However, Homer shouldn't be viewed as the primary backup to Carson, as Penny and Carson have frames that are better suited for workhorse roles.
