Homer rushed twice for 27 yards and caught his lone target for 27 yards in Sunday's 23-20 overtime loss to the Steelers.
The Seahawks recorded just four plays that went further than 20 yards, and Homer accounted for two of them. The third-year back could handle an expanded role Week 7 against the Saints, as Chris Carson (neck) is out for the next two games while Alex Collins (hip) is uncertain for that matchup. However, Rashaad Penny (calf) potentially is on track to return Monday, while DeeJay Dallas, who logged 50 yards on nine touches this week, also will be in the mix for increased playing time.
