Seahawks' Rashaad Penny: Limited by calf injury

Penny was a limited practice participant Wednesday due to a calf injury, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

Penny tended to a thigh issue in training camp, only to make two appearances during the preseason slate, combining for 12 carries for 32 yards and two receptions (on three targets) for 11 yards. The production wasn't anything to write home about, and he's now dealing with another soft-tissue injury. With Chris Carson at the head of Seattle's backfield, Penny would vie with Alex Collins and perhaps Travis Homer for change-of-pace touches Week 1 at Indianapolis, assuming he's able to suit up.
